Speaker A:And we're gonna Talk about Season 13, Episode 22, Exodus.

Speaker B:We'll get to our feelings about that.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker B:But that's the title of this episode and it's from the Bible, if you didn't know.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:Well, I know we've been gone for a week.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Thanks you guys for giving me a vacation so I can leave for a week and go do stuff.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:So what have you been up to?
Speaker B:I went on, you know, a, A non ecological cruise.
Speaker B:I went on the, the Fog, the third annual.
Speaker B:I don't know annual implies I'm gonna go back next year.
Speaker B:I probably will, but.
Speaker B:Although I've heard.
Speaker B:So I went on Flogging Molly cruise, which is a punk rock cruise, if you don't know.
Speaker B:And it's where punk rockers take over an entire ship for five days.
Speaker B:And you know, we go around to.
Speaker B:It's like a regular cruise ship but with punk rockers and.
Speaker B:But they.
Speaker B:There tend to be middle aged people and that' who can afford to go in this too tends to be people who are our age and also the bands that they attract tend to be the people, you know, attracting middle aged people.
Speaker B:So it was fun.
Speaker B:And middle aged is.
Speaker B:It is not like a virgin cruise where it's all adult.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker B:It is a cruise where some people bring their children and you know, we can be family friendly, you know, but I prefer not to have to worry about that when I'm on vacation.
Speaker B:And one of the things that kind of kept happening during the show was they got very upset that over crowd surfing.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:And so they were very.
Speaker B:The, the security was very anti.
Speaker B:Like no, no more crowd surfing.
Speaker B:You know, everybody stopped and during one, one vid, one, not one venue, one at one venue, one of the bands, the blue singer was crowd surfing and security tried to take him down and took him down by the neck.
Speaker B:And he was not happy about it.
Speaker B:And so.
Speaker A:Then he.
Speaker B:Went up on stage and said, and I am now going to crowd surf to the back and to the front and you can all go himself.
Speaker B:And then he did.
Speaker B:So that was kind of funny.
Speaker B:But later outside watching various things, people kept putting their children up to crowd surf.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:And I think that's.
Speaker A:Rude.
Speaker A:I could sense this coming in the story.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I don't want to worry about your child.
Speaker B:Like, crowd surfing is dangerous.
Speaker B:It.
Speaker A:Really.
Speaker B:Is.
Speaker B:I know.
Speaker B:Like, it's a fun time.
Speaker B:But, I mean, I don't do it because I don't want people touching me.
Speaker B:I don't want strangers groping me.
Speaker B:Men are disgusting.
Speaker B:They grope women when they diva.
Speaker B:I'm sorry.
Speaker B:I wish they didn't, but they do.
Speaker B:And also, I just don't like strangers touching me, so why would I be like, I'm gonna let you grab my.
Speaker A:Ass.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:All of you.
Speaker B:No.
Speaker B:No, thank you.
Speaker B:But, you know, like, now I'm glad, but I have to worry about your child falling instead of me enjoying a show.
Speaker B:Like, I think it's.
Speaker B:And I think it's very unsafe.
Speaker B:Like, I don't want to judge you as a parent because I don't have kids.
Speaker B:And you.
Speaker B:You make your own decisions about your children.
Speaker B:But that.
Speaker B:I think you're putting the responsibility of the care of your child into the hands of a bunch of drunk idiots.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:And it's.
Speaker A:Stupid.

Speaker A:And like, outside of just, like, the responsibility, like, things happen.

Speaker A:Part of the reason I'm like, crowd serving gives me the heebie jeebies.

Speaker A:I saw one really bad accident in a crowd.
Speaker A:I've seen so many bad.
Speaker B:Accidents.
Speaker A:Like, scary.
Speaker A:Like, scary scary bad.
Speaker A:Like,.
Speaker B:People.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:And, like,.
Speaker B:Paralyzed bad.
Speaker A:And it's not.
Speaker A:You know, obviously, no one's intentional.
Speaker A:Well, hopefully no one's intentionally.

Speaker B:Get kicked in the head.
Speaker B:You just get kicked in the head.
Speaker B:Like, it just happens, you know?
Speaker B:And it's just.
Speaker B:I don't know.

Speaker B:If you want to risk your own safety, that's up to you.
Speaker B:If you want to have strangers group on you.

Speaker A:Just.
Speaker B:Sitting there, biting my nails, being like, don't drop the child, someone.
Speaker B:Don't drop the child.
Speaker B:Won't someone think of the children.
Speaker A:They're.
Speaker A:They're resilient.
Speaker A:They'll just bounce right back up.
Speaker A:They're made out of rubber, right?
Speaker A:I mean,.
Speaker B:They probably would be fine, but.
Speaker A:Probably we'd be broken, and they'd be like,.
Speaker B:Yeah, I know.
Speaker B:You drop me, and I'm in the hospital for.
Speaker B:For a while.
Speaker B:A kid.
Speaker B:He's just like, whatever.
Speaker B:This is.
Speaker A:How I.
Speaker B:Spent my spring break.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:But anyways, so that was beyond.
Speaker B:You know, we went to.
Speaker B:We went to the.
Speaker B:We went places.
Speaker B:I saw beaches.
Speaker B:I saw swimming pigs.
Speaker B:I saw a shaman.
Speaker B:His name wasn't Bob.
Speaker B:That disappointed me.
Speaker A:Damn it.
Speaker B:I really wanted his name to be Bob.
Speaker A:That would have been entertaining.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I purposely went into a sweat lodge, which was hilarious.
Speaker A:I was.
Speaker A:I was deeply surprised when you told me that you were going to a sweat lodge.
Speaker A:I'm like, this sounds like your, like, least favorite activity that you paid to go to.
Speaker B:Purposely.
Speaker B:Purposely going to sweat, you know, purposely while.
Speaker B:While.
Speaker B:Summon chance.
Speaker B:And.
Speaker B:Yeah, it was.
Speaker B:It was a bonding experience with a bunch of strangers, I guess.
Speaker B:And at least the bonding experience later was the next day when I saw people.
Speaker B:I was like, so I wasn't the only one who went to bed early, right?
Speaker A:There you go.
Speaker A:Everybody was.
Speaker A:At least.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Well, it was dehydrated.
Speaker B:It was very dehydrating.
Speaker A:Yeah, for sure.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker B:And it was also.
Speaker B:It was Halloween while.
Speaker B:While I was gone.
Speaker B:So what about you?
Speaker B:How was your Halloween?
Speaker A:It was good.
Speaker A:We put on a car show, and then it was Halloween, and then I didn't.
Speaker A:In our tiny work office Halloween costume contest, I didn't even place.
Speaker A:But I blew everybody away because I wore a long, dark wig, and I even showed my sister a picture of it before.
Speaker A:Before I did any of the costume stuff.
Speaker A:Just me and the wig.
Speaker A:Her question was, are you going as me for Halloween?
Speaker B:Which.
Speaker A:Was kind of h. Because it was like a long, kind of curled wig and like.
Speaker A:Like wavy curl.
Speaker A:And then my sister and I look fairly similar, except for the fact that I'm older, but she has long, dark hair and slightly darker features, and I have short blonde hair for those that don't watch online.
Speaker A:But anyways, so it was pretty funny.
Speaker A:We were cracking up about it.
Speaker A:But yeah, no, we just handed out candy.
Speaker A:I shared the classic film that traumatized a generation called Return to Oz with Dave.
Speaker A:And that was.
Speaker A:That was a fun experience, though I don't.
Speaker A:I forgot how A. I forget how.
Speaker A:How dark it is, but I also forget that it's a little slow, which is interesting.
Speaker A:And I don't know if that just speaks to our modern attention spans or if it was just the movie was that way all along, but there you go.
Speaker A:Yeah.

Speaker B:So let's talk about Exodus.
Speaker B:And so this was season 13, episode 22.
Speaker B:So we're almost at the end.
Speaker B: ,: Speaker B:This season, he only directed episode two, the Rising Sun.
Speaker B:It was written by the team of Eugenie Russell Fleming and Brad Buckner, who did a bunch this season, including the Rising sun and also War of the World.
Speaker B:Devil's bargain and bring him back alive.
Speaker B:And in our recap.
Speaker B:So they've got to assemble their most powerful allies.
Speaker B:Allies.
Speaker B:And they're all going to save Jack and Mom.
Speaker B:They needed to use Lucifer to keep the door open.
Speaker B:And they were going to keep draining Lucifer to keep the door open.
Speaker B:But then Rowena had to send him to Apocalypse World.
Speaker B:The attack.
Speaker B:They were gotten stuck in a tunnel.
Speaker B:There was vampires.
Speaker B:They killed Sam.
Speaker B:But Lucifer saved him and his glow stick.
Speaker B:And Lucifer just wants a relationship with his son.
Speaker A:Poor.
Speaker B:Lucifer.
Speaker B:It's all he wants.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So we open up at the rebel camp or whatever we're calling this in the Apocalypse World.
Speaker A:And Sam and Mary share a Hug.
Speaker A:And Dean is just, like, shell shocked by seeing Sam alive.
Speaker A:But, I mean, not in a bad way.
Speaker A:He's happy, but.
Speaker A:And he does tell Dean that Lucifer brought him back.
Speaker A:And, you know, everybody's mean, mugging Lucifer, and he's like, oh, you should be thanking me for saving him.
Speaker A:You need me from the team, by the way, because I'm the one that, you know, that.
Speaker A:That can do this.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:So Lucifer wants to start to introduce himself to Jack and wants to talk to Jack right away.
Speaker A:And Dean and Cass intervene very quickly and aggressively.
Speaker A:And I'm like, I get it.
Speaker A:We don't want Lucifer and Jack to have a relationship.
Speaker A:But if you know anything about kids, which we've talked about already tonight, if you're like, don't talk to him.
Speaker A:They're definitely gonna want to talk to each other.
Speaker A:Chill the out.
Speaker B:You're making him seem like a cool guy.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Come on.
Speaker A:So either way.
Speaker A:And I do like, though, that Castell's like, no, Jack is Kelly Klein's son, and he's nothing like you.
Speaker A:But.
Speaker B:But Lucifer disagrees with that because of his power.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker B:Which is also kind of a fair thing that, you know, he.
Speaker B:Maybe he is the only one who can understand his power, but Dean just wants Gabriel to kill him, and this upsets Jack, and he just zaps away.
Speaker A:He's like.
Speaker A:He just poofs out because he is overwhelmed by all this.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:And then Dean's gonna blame Lucifer, and.
Speaker A:And then Gabriel's like, I'll go find Jack.
Speaker A:So either way.
Speaker A:But Lucifer's like, look, you still need me.
Speaker A:Don't kill me, because I am your walking weapon against Michael.
Speaker A:You need me.
Speaker A:So either way, Cass is like, fine, we'll keep you around.
Speaker A:But you have to wear these cool spelled handcuffs so you won't turn on us.
Speaker A:I really don't know how this is gonna.
Speaker A:Like, they're really bold to think that these are gonna hold Lucifer when he just brought Sam back to life and is in this world and he seems pretty normal.
Speaker B:They're making a lot of assumptions here.
Speaker B:And speaking of assumptions, Sam asks if the rift is open, and Lucifer says that he left some of his grace for Rowena and that it should be open for another 31 hours, give or take.
Speaker B:Where do you get this clock from?
Speaker A:It's a really specific time.
Speaker B:It's so specific.
Speaker B:And Sam immediately puts his watch to this time.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:It's a clock to it.
Speaker A:Sure.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:So in the meantime, we do get a flash of the bunker where Rowena is frantically reading and the rift is kind of flickering, but it's open still.
Speaker A:So Sam and Dean get to have a moment.
Speaker A:Sam apologizes to Dean, but Dean's like, no, no, there's nothing to apologize for.
Speaker A:And they bro hug.
Speaker A:But.
Speaker B:And then, yeah, maybe you should wash that blood off your neck because it's kind of gross.
Speaker B:It's a lot of blood just hanging there.
Speaker B:Isn't that crusty?
Speaker B:Isn't that itchy?
Speaker A:Be so crusty.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:But Sam's like, don't worry.
Speaker A:When the time comes, I'll take care of Lucifer.
Speaker A:So we cut to Jack in the woods by himself.
Speaker A:And he is playing back in his head Kelly's video to him about how he'll be.
Speaker A:He can be whoever he chooses to be.
Speaker A:And then he remembers Sam talking about and talking to him and Castiel and then all of them sharing how his mom thought him that he was worth all of this.
Speaker A:But then he was getting flashbacks to all the bad shit, like when he threw the tattoo artist and.
Speaker A:And then killed a security guard.
Speaker A:And then Kevin killing a bunch of people that he couldn't save.
Speaker A:So Jack's having.
Speaker A:He's having.
Speaker B:A petty party.
Speaker A:Moment.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:But either way, they.
Speaker A:We've got Cassiel leads is leading Lucifer by Mary.
Speaker A:And he's going to try to be snarky and ask if she misses him.
Speaker A:So she punches him in the face again.
Speaker A:So now we've got the second time Mary has punched Lucifer in the face.
Speaker B:And she got a pretty good clock in there, too.
Speaker A:She did.
Speaker A:She did.
Speaker A:I appreciated that.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Then she breaks the news to Sam and Dean that she.
Speaker B:Even though they came all this way to rescue her, she's not gonna go back with them because she's part of this.
Speaker B:Cause now and she's part of these people.
Speaker B:And Jack decides to take this moment to flap back in.
Speaker B:And Cass tries talking to him and telling him that talking with Lucifer is not a great idea.
Speaker B:But Jack says he isn't going to talk, he's going to listen, which is also a bad idea.
Speaker A:Which seems like, I don't know, is that worse?
Speaker A:Okay, so Dean is.
Speaker A:And Sam are obviously not thrilled with Mary's decision.
Speaker A:And Dean's gonna try to change her mind.
Speaker A:But Sam's like, no, no, obviously she made up her mind about these people, so why don't we just take all these people with us?
Speaker A:And this seems like not a fully fledged plan.
Speaker A:And she's like, they're not going to leave their home in their cause.
Speaker A:And sounds like, no, no, we'll just get them we'll get them out of here, and then we'll make a plan, and then we'll come back and we'll kill Michael and save their world.
Speaker A:It's like.
Speaker A:It seems like a.
Speaker B:Weird plan.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:And it's 25 people.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:Which seems like a very small population, but.
Speaker B:All right, so it's 25 people.
Speaker A:And is that just the warriors or is that all that's left?
Speaker A:Or, like, what?
Speaker A:This is like, not a huge group here.
Speaker A:I feel like the camp looked bigger than that.
Speaker A:But are they all.
Speaker A:I did.
Speaker B:Too, but.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:So Lucifer and Jack are gonna talk.
Speaker A:And now Lucifer doesn't know what to say, so he finally.
Speaker A:So he.
Speaker A:Lucifer, gets Jack to ask questions.
Speaker A:And Jack's first question is, why does everyone hate you?
Speaker A:Which I feel like is a reasonable one.
Speaker A:And he's like, oh, there's all the stories, and it's about the bad and evil of the world.
Speaker A:It gets blamed on me, and it's just all fake news.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And then he's.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:Cassiel starts to, like, interject here.
Speaker A:So he's like, no, no, I'll admit, I've let led some souls to ruin because humans are so messed up and they're just willing to be led to that.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And Jack's like, yeah, but my mom was human, by the way.
Speaker A:Don't be talking on humans.
Speaker A:And he's like, oh, no, she was great.
Speaker A:And she was a great kisser, and I lost my virginity to her.
Speaker A:What?
Speaker A:What is happening?
Speaker B:Yeah, it's gross.
Speaker B:It's gross.
Speaker B:And Lucifer, though, that goes on to talk about how humans are wired to fail, and when they do, they all blame him.
Speaker B:And how could he be responsible for all this evil when he was locked up in a cage that whole time?
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker B:And his dad locked him up when he told him the truth that the humans weren't that great.
Speaker B:And I thought that they locked him up because.
Speaker B:Because that was one of the ways to keep the Darkness in.
Speaker B:I don't know.
Speaker B:There are many ways that, like, reasons that Lucifer was locked up and not just because.
Speaker B:At that.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker B:But he just wants the opportunity to get better,.
Speaker A:Like everyone.
Speaker A:And Castiel is just, like, disgusted by this whole thing.
Speaker A:He's like, what the ever.
Speaker A:So Dean's like, I'm not so sure we can get 25 extra people through the rift, plus our little team here.
Speaker A:And then Castiel interrupts.
Speaker A:He's like, by the way, Jack's with Lucifer.
Speaker A:So as.
Speaker A:As Lucifer is talking to Jack and explaining that your grandfather is God and So we're, like the number one powerful family.
Speaker A:You should know about your family.
Speaker A:And Jack's like, so what's God like?
Speaker A:Right here is when Dean interrupts.
Speaker A:And Dean.
Speaker A:Dean, big mad.
Speaker A:He's like, there's no talking and no listening.
Speaker A:Once again, not helpful.
Speaker A:Dean, you're clearly a rebellious child.
Speaker A:You know, this is not going to work.
Speaker A:But.
Speaker A:And Jack's like, I just.
Speaker A:I want to know about my family.
Speaker A:And Castiel's like, but where are your family?
Speaker A:And Sam's like, jack has no idea who Lucifer is.
Speaker A:And Jack's like, jack's again.
Speaker A:I never will if I don't get a chance to talk to him.
Speaker A:And he stares Dean down.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:So he's kind of made up his mind about this.
Speaker B:And he's gonna be a stubborn, you know, newborn baby.
Speaker B:And everyone then go out walking.
Speaker B:And.
Speaker B:Because that's what they're doing.
Speaker B:And Mary is explaining to.
Speaker B:Because they have to walk everywhere in this world.
Speaker B:And so everything takes a long time.
Speaker B:And Mary's explaining to Dean that Jack has changed since he's been there.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:Because he's seen a bunch of people die.
Speaker B:He's done been through horrible things, and so he's got some trauma on him,.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And maybe a little bit of maturity.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker A:He's trying to prove himself.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So Jack tells Sam that with Lucifer there, they do have enough power.
Speaker A:He thinks they would have enough power to just kill Michael now.
Speaker A:And, like, why?
Speaker A:Why do this other plan?
Speaker A:And Sam's like, that's just not the plan.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And Mary's gonna remind Dean that Lucifer is Jack's father, whether they like it or not.
Speaker A:And, you know, she's certain that Jack's not gonna go dark.
Speaker A:He just needs to have the opportunity to see this through his own eyes.
Speaker A:So Mary, who has raised children, is giving good advice to Dean about how to try to navigate this situation.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:And Cass comes up, and he can't find Gabriel, who all of a sudden then comes running up with a group of angels running behind him.
Speaker B:And these angels are going to smite everyone.
Speaker B:But Lucifer dust them instead.
Speaker B:Because those coughs don't work on him in that dimension.
Speaker A:And he had power.
Speaker A:He had way more power back already.
Speaker A:Anyways, so.
Speaker A:Ta da.
Speaker A:And we find out that the base camp for the rebels is at the Singer Auto Salvage, but not in Sioux Falls.
Speaker A:And so that's where they end up.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:And here comes this world's Bobby.
Speaker B:Because this world's Bobby took a pass on freezing his ass off in Sioux Falls.
Speaker B:And that is why this Singer salvage yard is.
Speaker B:Wherever it is,.
Speaker A:Somewhere in Ohio, probably still, I'd guess.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker A:Which also.
Speaker A:But you'd also freeze your ass off in, right?
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker B:Yeah, it's.
Speaker B:You're still.
Speaker B:It still looks cold to me.
Speaker B:But.

Speaker A:So Lucifer is gonna still talk to Jack about his family and his Uncle Michael, who he calls studly.

Speaker B:And when that happens, Lucifer snarkily points out that his time with Asmodeus didn't do him any favors.

Speaker B:And then Lucifer is like, what?

Speaker B:I don't know what you're.

Speaker A:And they're like, look, we're out, outmanned, and outgunned right now.
Speaker A:And Sam's like, yeah, we have, like, the biggest stock, like, stockpile of lore and weapons, and it might be enough to even the odds.
Speaker A:So we need to do this, and we'll come back with a plan and that.

Speaker A:We've been where you are, where it's the end of things and we can make.

Speaker A:And then they bring in their secret weapon, and it's evil Cass, Evil Castiel.

Speaker B:We find out later.

Speaker B:So we go back to the other camp, and there they find the guy who told Charlie and Catch about the angel kill squad and this cast.
Speaker B:I guess our cast kind of tortures him by putting his hands on his head to, like, get the information.

Speaker A:It's kind of a parallel to what's happening in the other.
Speaker A:In the bad, bad guys camp when the good guys are doing what the bad guys are doing.

Speaker A:So, anyways, and then while this is happening, Lucifer's annoyed that him and Gabriel have been placed on the outskirts of the camp to defend.
Speaker A:They're the first line of defense.

Speaker A:But obviously that makes sense, because if they need guarded from angels, who better to do that than two archangels?

Speaker A:Like, why is he bitching about.

Speaker A:Do you really see a version where Jack sticks by you and Lucifer does and.

Speaker B:Where other world Cass is kind of a Nazi and he monologues about everyone having a breaking point.

Speaker B:Misha made that choice, and that was a choice he made.

Speaker A:They get, you know, a bunch of people getting saved.
Speaker A:But good Castiel grabs evil Castiel, which I guess is good, but also confusing.

Speaker B:And regular Castiel has gotten used to there being more than one of him.
Speaker B:And it's just like, this isn't too hard for me to understand.

Speaker A:Evil Castiel is like you're aligning with humans.

Speaker A:Good Castiel is like, I vastly prefer them to angels, souls and evil Castiel is like, we are.

Speaker A:And then Dean notices there's a broken down bus outside.
Speaker A:And so he's like, let's get that running.
Speaker A:And I guess now Lucifer and Dean go outside and get this bus that was covered in ivy to start, but.
Speaker B:And so Lucifer is driving the bus.

Speaker B:And Dean says that way they know what he's doing and Cass can keep an eye on him.
Speaker B:I think a better question is, when did Lucifer learn how to drive?
Speaker A:That's a great question.

Speaker B:I just didn't see him driving around on Earth or anything.
Speaker B:He zaps himself everywhere.
Speaker B:So where did he learn how to drive a school bus?
Speaker A:Would he be a dick driver?

Speaker A:Well, they get it started and they.
Speaker A:They figured out their.
Speaker A:Sam's like, we are down to 1 hour and 57 minutes till the rift closes because of our very specific timeline they found on it.

Speaker A:But then they notice that Jack's walking away.
Speaker A:So Sam's like, what the are you doing?
Speaker A:And he's like, I promised myself I would kill Michael, so I. I need to stay and do that.
Speaker A:And Sam's like, no, we have to help all these people first.
Speaker A:And then, you know, and Michael be sealed up here while we figure that out.
Speaker A:And Lucifer actually comes up and is like, look, what Sam's trying to say is we need to rethink this.
Speaker A:And so if, you know, if we spend.
Speaker A:We spend all.
Speaker A:If you.
Speaker A:If Michael gets you or something bad happens, we're going to spend all this time trying to get back to you.
Speaker A:More people are going to be at risk.
Speaker A:And Lucifer makes a solid point.
Speaker A:He explains in a very practical way why Jack going out on his own to try to take out Michael, which he might not be able to do, is a bad idea, weirdly so.
Speaker A:Jack actually agrees with his father's point.
Speaker A:So we've got Sam, Dean, Gabriel and Jack in the jeep and everyone else is in the bus.
Speaker A:And they are driving towards the flickering rift.
Speaker A:So Rowena's still in the bunker, keeping this open somehow with her spell.

Speaker A:They say they're kind of surprised the rift is still there, but because it kind of like brightens back up and they line everybody up to start sending them through.

Speaker B:So there's a Z ray, which is an unknown force that can expand all the hydrogen atoms in the body and thus cure all diseases and reverse aging, Specifically arthritis and rheumatism.
Speaker B:And to use it, one held it with both hands.
Speaker B:And this kind of looks like when people use it, it reminds me of the shake with the shake weight.

Speaker B:They, however, had advanced beyond earthlings and spiritual and scientific develop and work development and worried about what was happening on Earth.
Speaker B:So they were releasing positive energy particles into the Earth's atmosphere to counteract the negative energy particles that man himself has released.
Speaker B:Calgo wanted to reassure the people of Earth that things would soon get much better and there would be a Martian expedition to Earth which then further explained UFO sightings.
Speaker B:So William toured the midwestern United States, lecturing about his experiences on Mars for a dollar a person and trying to sell items that he claims were souvenirs from his time on Mars.
Speaker B:Included in these were brain relaxing helmets and water flow clarifiers, which sounds suspiciously like the Xeric.

Speaker B: In: Speaker B:He told her about Martian food, which the body absorbs without needing to poop, and Martian water, which you can swim in without getting Wet, and that in 14, 000 years she would return to her home planet of Saturn.

Speaker B:Also supposedly that year he traveled to Venus via a spaceship that was four dimensional and thus invisible, although it could operate in the third dimension, which William said explained why UFOs seemed to disappear.

Speaker B:The the Venus leader had visited Earth and UFOs to help humans approach their next evolutionary step, which is a four dimensional conscious this alien.

Speaker B:Members believe that as the new age comes, materialism and evil will be overthrown and man will be lifted into the fourth dimensional.

Speaker B:In a leaflet that proclaimed the group's permanent celestial message, they describe themselves as a religious organization of the sovereign state of Illinois under the complete guidance of celestial and immortal beings from outer space.
Speaker B:The messenger of these space beings is William Ferguson of the planet Earth and other priests and priestesses who will who have been and will be elevated to the priesthood of the cosmic circle of fellowship.
Speaker B:We teach the new age truths given to us by the Spirit of Truth from the Holy Triune.
Speaker B:I mean, this was a tribune.
Speaker B:We worship only the Alpha and the Omega who are the first cause.
Speaker B:We adore many celestials and immortals who are working with us and guide us.
Speaker B:We invite all people of the planet Earth to join us in fellowship and the worship of Alpha and Omega.
Speaker B:To join the group, prospective members had to pass through 13 weekly lectures which were called the College of Cosmic Knowledge.
Speaker B:If after attending these lectures they were viewed as worthy, they were then elevated to the priesthood of Melchizedek and Zestra.

Speaker A:That's my big takeaway is where it's.
Speaker A:Our.
Speaker B:Takeaway is interpreted UFO interpreted answers.
Speaker B:I think what's really interesting too about this though, you think about time wise and this is, you know, the second UFO religion kind of.
Speaker B:This is more of a UFO religion than seekers.
Speaker A:Yeah,.
Speaker B:I mean this was definitely had, you know, a.
Speaker B:A.
Speaker B:What's the word I'm looking for?
Speaker B:Not a manifesto, but a theo A theology to it, I guess.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B: u know, he started off in the: Speaker B:But you also think about.
Speaker B:UFOs were really new.
Speaker B: ly becoming a thing until the: Speaker B: s said, I think, until, like,: Speaker B:So this whole idea of, like, we're coming together to channel all these beings and stuff is still relatively new.
Speaker B:Do.
Speaker A:That's wild.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:I think it's interesting to think about, you know, uf the beginning of ufology and it as a religion and.
Speaker B:And whether or not, you know, these people were frauds or whatever.
Speaker B:I think.
Speaker B:Well, I mean, I kind of think that William.
Speaker B:He went long enough.
Speaker B:I mean, I think he believed his relaxation.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:Which is basically meditation,.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I just don't know if he was going to Mars meeting.
Speaker A:I don't think Good vibes.
Speaker A:I don't know if he.
Speaker B:I don't know if that's where he went.
Speaker B:But.
Speaker A:He was meditating,.
Speaker B:But he was definitely relaxing.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:I'll give him that.
Speaker A:Yeah,.
Speaker B:Yeah,.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:We can't dispute that.
Speaker B:We can't dispute.
Speaker B:I mean, I'm sure his relaxation techniques are.
Speaker B:They're not terrible.
Speaker B:You know, you need to calm down.
Speaker B:It doesn't mean that, you know, calm down so aliens can visit us.
Speaker B:I also.
Speaker A:Like the.
Speaker B:Fact that it was like.
Speaker B:Even back then, it was like, oh, things aren't going so great on Earth.
Speaker B:Earth.
Speaker B:Like, we're gonna send you some positive vibes down here, and then things are gonna get better.
Speaker B:We promise.
Speaker B: I'm like, that was: Speaker B:What the happened?
Speaker B:Positive vibes.
Speaker B:Some things happen between now and then.
Speaker A:It's been a minute.
Speaker A:It's been a minute.
Speaker B:I don't think the Mars vibes are working.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:Oh, man.
Speaker B:All right, so back in supernatural land, people are coming through the rift, right?
Speaker B:So we have people jumping through the rift, but Sam and Dean are.
Speaker B:Stop Lucifer from coming through.
Speaker A:And they're like, no, you and Gabriel have to stay behind in case.
Speaker A:In case of Michael.
Speaker A:And then we see a angel bomb.
Speaker A:Whatever.
Speaker A:We call it the.
Speaker A:Whatever flying.
Speaker A:I called.
Speaker B:It an angel bomb.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:And it kills.
Speaker B:Michael.
Speaker A:Yeah, it kills three of the humans.
Speaker A:And then it's Michael facing off against Sam and Dean and Lucifer and Gabriel.
Speaker A:And of course, Michael's gonna talk like he does.
Speaker A:And then Lucifer and Michael are gonna fight, but Lucifer goes down real fast.
Speaker A:And then Michael's like, oh, it's Gabriel.
Speaker A:What the heck?
Speaker A:And Gabriel's like, sam and Dane.
Speaker A:You go, I'm just gonna buy you some time.
Speaker A:And they're like, what.
Speaker A:Who.
Speaker A:Who are you?
Speaker A:Gabriel.
Speaker A:This is not like you.
Speaker A:And he's like, all I did on earth is run.
Speaker A:I'm not running anymore.
Speaker B:They watched.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:They watched Gabriel get killed by Michael.
Speaker B:And it's not a fake one this time.
Speaker B:And I'm very upset.
Speaker B:I don't.
Speaker B:Like, why did you have to kill Gabriel?
Speaker B:I.
Speaker A:Didn't.
Speaker A:Just got him.
Speaker A:And he's got his little redemption arc, and now he's dead.
Speaker B:He just got boned.
Speaker B:I mean, he got.
Speaker B:We could have had more, like, weird sex with him and Rowena.
Speaker B:And you just killed him.
Speaker A:It's not.
Speaker A:I was not happy.
Speaker A:So Lucifer is not able to get through the rift behind Sam and Dean.
Speaker A:They go through, and Sam stops him and throws him to the ground, even though he's injured.
Speaker A:Because Lucifer does point that out, and the rift closes.
Speaker A:And now it's just Michael and Lucifer left in Apocalypse World.
Speaker A:Back at the bunker, they're gonna have a party party.
Speaker A:And I don't think anybody's thought about the ramifications at this point, which we'll see a sign of a minute of not letting Lucifer through when his son that he just met, that did go through, but,.
Speaker B:Yeah,.
Speaker A:You.
Speaker B:Just left Lucifer with Michael.
Speaker B:What?
Speaker B:Maybe this isn't the best idea, but back in.
Speaker B:In the bunker, Dean tells Cass that Gabriel is a reason that they made it.
Speaker B:And so they're all very sad for just a second that they kill Gabriel.
Speaker B:Sorry.
Speaker B:I blame you guys.
Speaker B:And no one should be friends with the Winchesters.
Speaker B:And so.
Speaker B:And then Sam's like, I took care of Lucifer, so.
Speaker B:Or Dean tells him that Sam took care of Lucifer.
Speaker B:Then Bobby gives a speech, and.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker B:Says they're going to go home and set their people free, and they'll never forget the ones they lost.
Speaker B:And then he toasts to their new brothers.
Speaker B:And Sam and Dean.
Speaker A:And Jack looks sad.
Speaker B:He's thinking pretty hard.
Speaker A:He's in this.
Speaker A:He's in.
Speaker A:He looks very sad.
Speaker A:So we go back in Apocalypse World, and we see the dead Gabriel on the ground with his burnt angel wings on the.
Speaker A:On the ground around.
Speaker A:Around him.
Speaker A:That's very sad.
Speaker A:And then Michael's like, why should I trust you, Lucifer.
Speaker A:And Lucifer is like, because I know the spell to make the rift, and I will get my son, and you can get everything else.
Speaker A:That's her episode.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:So not.
Speaker A:Well thought out to leave Lucifer with Michael.
Speaker A:Damn it.
Speaker B:No.
Speaker B:It's Very sad.
Speaker B:And so.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:So do we have people to talk about?
Speaker A:We've got a couple real fast.
Speaker C:Casting couch.
Speaker C:It's the casting couch.
Speaker C:Were they on that show that time with that guy?
Speaker C:La la la la la la la la la la la la.
Speaker A:Was played by, and we saw him a couple of times this episode, but he was played by Alexander Sandisi and he has been in episodes of One Life to Live, Law and Order, Beauty and the Beast, elementary and Nancy Drew.
Speaker A:And then Andy was one of our human rebel people.
Speaker A:And he gets killed at the end.
Speaker A:Was played by Jeff Joseph.
Speaker A:He's actually a stand up comic, interestingly enough for not a comedic role here.
Speaker A:But he's been in TV shows going back to Facts of Life and Family Ties and Living Color, Lewis Clark, NYPD Blue, Sopranos, Law and Order, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina I, Zombie and Rise of the Pink Ladies.
Speaker A:He was one of the IBC executives and Scrooged.
Speaker A:He was James in the movie Made in America.
Speaker A:And a reoccurring character named Joseph on the series Big Sky.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:So I think we both.
Speaker B:I mean, the episode's kind of a bummer.
Speaker A:Yes, it's a bummer.
Speaker A:It's a stressful bummer.
Speaker A:The whole episode's a stressful bummer.
Speaker B:And you know, I think it's part of it is that it takes.
Speaker B:So much of it takes place in Apocalypse World.
Speaker B:So it's, it's very, it's dark, so it automatically just has this dark setting to it.
Speaker B:And, and we keep like kind of getting Lucy pulling the football away from us happening here, you know, where they kind of get a few steps forward and then a trap get a few sets forward and it's another trap, you know, and, and now everyone's back on.
Speaker B:You have all these people at the bunker on Earth and we have Lucifer there with Michael and this is.
Speaker B:It just seems like a bad idea.
Speaker A:No, they're setting themselves up for problems because Jack's gonna be mad that they left.
Speaker A:Like he's gonna be hurt and not understand why they left Lucifer behind.
Speaker A:Because that wasn't the plan.
Speaker A:To his understanding.
Speaker A:Then he's also going to.
Speaker A:And then also it sets up time for Lucifer and to double cross because he, he's going to look out for himself and he's motivated by one thing and one thing only and that's getting back to his son as we've been watching in the last several episodes.
Speaker A:So this is not.
Speaker A:I get the concern, but it is not a well thought out plan in any way.
Speaker A:And we lost.
Speaker B:I think it's a plan.
Speaker B:And we lost Gabriel, which is just bummer.
Speaker B:Again, like, which we know, like, it's.
Speaker B:You become.
Speaker B:You pile up with a pal.
Speaker B:Up with the Winchester is you going to die.
Speaker A:Yeah, so.
Speaker A:But.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So not my favorite.
Speaker A:I know it's moving us forward in the plot for the season, but damn, not my favorite.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:We'll see what happens next.
Speaker B:Next week, the season finale.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:Will Michael and Lucifer return to this world?
Speaker A:Will.
Speaker B:Jack ever.
Speaker B:I don't know.
Speaker B:I was trying to say something clever.
Speaker B:Will Jack ever mature enough to, like.
Speaker B:No.
Speaker B:He's still, like, only six months old,.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:He's still a baby.
Speaker B:He's still a celestial baby.
Speaker B:All right.
