Speaker B:

Damn right it is.

Speaker A:

Well, also, you can find out what specials are going to be available in the Haunted Home Shopping Network and showtime.

Speaker B:

For the meat suits.

Speaker B:

Let's do this.

Speaker B:

Welcome to this week's episode of Devil's Trap podcast.

Speaker B:

Today we're going to Talk Season 5, Episode 2.

Speaker B:

Good God, Y'.

Speaker B:

All.

Speaker B:

I'm Diana.

Speaker A:

I feel like I should say, like, if something like, what would be, howdy, Diana?

Speaker A:

I don't.

Speaker A:

Is that with.

Speaker A:

With the y' all in there?

Speaker A:

But I mean, I say all the time.

Speaker A:

I will never stop saying say y'.

Speaker A:

All.

Speaker A:

But I mean, people in other countries say y'.

Speaker B:

All.

Speaker A:

I mean, in other countries or places outside of Texas.

Speaker B:

Oh.

Speaker B:

Oh,.

Speaker A:

Well, you didn't think that joke is.

Speaker A:

I've been.

Speaker A:

I was like, I've been writing dad.

Speaker A:

I've been trying to write dad jokes all day.

Speaker B:

Oh, man.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

No, I can't.

Speaker A:

It was like, there's this one joke, and I was like, I can't tell you that because you would have no idea why it's funny.

Speaker A:

But actually, I should tell you it, because you, like, you're gonna say be like, what the is she talking about?

Speaker A:

Okay, so the joke is, why did the local administrator need to wear floaties?

Speaker A:

And the answer is, because he couldn't swim laps.

Speaker A:

And that joke makes no sense if you don't work in my business at all.

Speaker A:

Which is why it's awesome.

Speaker B:

Hmm.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

Right now, like, there is one person, and they're just like.

Speaker A:

And they work in cybersecurity, and they're probably a friend of mine, and they're listening out of pity, and they are dying.

Speaker B:

Well, good.

Speaker A:

Enjoy.

Speaker A:

Enjoy that.

Speaker B:

I'm glad.

Speaker A:

That's for you.

Speaker A:

Insert probably tech bro name here.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Anyway.

Speaker A:

So, Diana, what's going on with you?

Speaker B:

Just, you know, I recently had a quick trip to Houston.

Speaker B:

I also very excited about this information.

Speaker B:

I learned how to make baba ganoush.

Speaker B:

And I know that doesn't sound that exciting, but I really like eggplant.

Speaker B:

I really like baba ganoush.

Speaker A:

Did you just say, I really like eggplant?

Speaker A:

This is why when you said you were going to talk about this, I was stoked because one, I immediately started going, oh, shit, I'm going to be able to put, like, little floating eggplant emojis across Diana's face.

Speaker A:

And now you just said recorded, I really like eggplant.

Speaker A:

Anyway, so talk.

Speaker B:

Setting that one up.

Speaker A:

You're welcome.

Speaker A:

Now talk to us about how you make baba ganoush.

Speaker B:

No.

Speaker B:

Pass.

Speaker B:

Anyways, found a really good recipe on Pinterest.

Speaker B:

Of course, that, and I'm super excited to go see Vandelier's album release coming up in Dallas.

Speaker B:

It'll be a rad show.

Speaker B:

They're friends of ours, so please check them out if you get a chance.

Speaker B:

Bandoliers.

Speaker B:

Anyways, good Texas band, but, yeah, that.

Speaker B:

That's.

Speaker B:

That's about it going on here.

Speaker B:

How about you?

Speaker A:

I mean, I have been living in a state of devastation for the past couple of weeks.

Speaker A:

Taco Bell giveth the Mexican pizza, then it taketh the Mexican pizza away.

Speaker A:

And it's very sad.

Speaker A:

And at first I thought it was just a glitch in my doordash app because, like, I'm driving to Taco Bell.

Speaker A:

No, no.

Speaker A:

Someone's gonna bring that.

Speaker A:

That shit to me.

Speaker A:

And so I was looking at the app and I was like, no, Mexican pizza.

Speaker A:

What the fuck?

Speaker A:

And then finally, like, it happened again the next week.

Speaker A:

No, I did not order Taco Bell two weeks in a row.

Speaker A:

Or did I?

Speaker A:

Probably, but again, not there.

Speaker A:

And then I went to the Google and saw that, no, no more Mexican pizza because people wanted it too much and Taco Bell was not prepared and they have supply chain issues.

Speaker A:

So the Mexican pizza won't be back until, like, I think they said maybe fall or next year.

Speaker A:

But I don't even know why I'm living, man.

Speaker B:

I mean, right?

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker B:

Like, Doja Cat and Dolly Parton teamed up and.

Speaker B:

And brought it back.

Speaker A:

Doja Cat and Dolly Parton can't make something happen.

Speaker A:

Like, we got nothing.

Speaker A:

We got nothing.

Speaker B:

Oh, they want the Choco Taco.

Speaker B:

Aren't people making.

Speaker B:

Are people calling for Doja Cat and Dolly Parton to pop it up again for.

Speaker B:

To get the choco Taco back?

Speaker A:

Why would you stop making Choco Taco?

Speaker B:

Like, it can't be that expensive to make, right?

Speaker B:

It's not like they're, like, sitting on store shelves, like, not being sold.

Speaker A:

I mean, are they are like, taco tacos just languishing in the stores?

Speaker A:

Like, are people not doing their part?

Speaker A:

I think people are eating Choco tacos.

Speaker A:

I have a friend who ate like a dozen of them in one night.

Speaker A:

And we are very concerned about his health.

Speaker A:

He was very sick.

Speaker A:

Very sick.

Speaker B:

But.

Speaker A:

But he's still, like, you know, he was depressed and he needed taco tacos to bring him up.

Speaker A:

So, I mean, it happens.

Speaker B:

It happens.

Speaker B:

Now I want a taco Taco.

Speaker B:

I'm sitting, I'm drinking Wine.

Speaker A:

What kind of wine are you drinking?

Speaker B:

It's a Marsan.

Speaker B:

It's a white one.

Speaker A:

It's a what?

Speaker B:

The Mason.

Speaker B:

I don't remember.

Speaker B:

It's a white wine from Texas and I forget who.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I was just like, is my Internet cutting out?

Speaker A:

Because I'm mumbling.

Speaker B:

I'm like, I don't remember which one it was.

Speaker B:

I forgot.

Speaker B:

Now I feel bad.

Speaker B:

It's the.

Speaker A:

God damn it.

Speaker B:

I don't remember.

Speaker B:

What are you drinking?

Speaker A:

I'm drinking.

Speaker A:

Oh, shit.

Speaker A:

And I just, like, knock this fucking table.

Speaker A:

I was like, I have the whole bottle.

Speaker A:

I'm drinking Senors Chardonnay.

Speaker A:

It is really good.

Speaker A:

It was really hot.

Speaker B:

And.

Speaker A:

The.

Speaker A:

Not the wine, the weather.

Speaker A:

And I was like, well.

Speaker A:

And then I was, like, sitting there staring at the wine rack with problems, and I was like, well, I was, like, looking at the rose and it's like, it's too sweet.

Speaker A:

Like, if I drink that, I'm going to just not be in a good mood tomorrow.

Speaker A:

And I have a very long day of things that have to be done that cannot be done with a rose wine hangover.

Speaker B:

That's fair.

Speaker A:

Like, you can't, like, just turn on Casey Musgraves or, like, the rest of, like, your day lull through it, like, I have to do.

Speaker A:

But unfortunately, I think we may have started, like, another world.

Speaker A:

This is going to be funny if, like, a couple years people listen to his podcast and what I said is true.

Speaker A:

So we may have started another world, like, viral outbreak by me yelling about Carl Von Marburg a lot.

Speaker A:

And apparently Marburg viral virus has resurfaced.

Speaker A:

It is, like, the first time in, like, I don't know how many years.

Speaker A:

And, like, it makes you bleed from your eyes and it's really bad.

Speaker B:

And I'm sorry, Ebola, like, Ebola, like, is how I think it was described.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And there's.

Speaker A:

And, like, the range of whether or not you die was, like, between, like, 20 to, like.

Speaker A:

It was a very weird, like, range of numbers, like, 20 to 50%, like, swaying of, like, whether or not, like, you're gonna die.

Speaker B:

So fun.

Speaker A:

I am sorry.

Speaker A:

I did not mean for anybody to bleed from their eyes unless it's on a television show and done by a special effects artist.

Speaker A:

And that's amazing.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

But no, no, sorry, world.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

Oops.

Speaker B:

Oops.

Speaker B:

Well, also, didn't you recently have a fun experience with your future?

Speaker A:

My future.

Speaker A:

Oh, let me look into my crystal ball.

Speaker A:

So, yes, last weekend at Sky Candy, which is the place that I get to play in things in the air and try to, like, kill myself repeatedly.

Speaker A:

No, no, they're very.

Speaker A:

It's a very safe place.

Speaker A:

Very, very safe place.

Speaker A:

But there was a market there last weekend and one of the vendors.

Speaker A:

Oh, I also did yoga to Dirty Dancing soundtrack because it was to raise money for abortion funds in Texas, which.

Speaker A:

So if you've ever seen Dirty Dancing, you can get the joke about why you're raising money for abortion funds with the Dirty Dancing soundtrack.

Speaker A:

So one of the other stalls they had there was Sister Palm and it was very exciting.

Speaker A:

Maybe someday she'll come on the show.

Speaker A:

She was a very, very fun woman.

Speaker A:

So she is a modern day fortune reader by reading poems and went through and went and talked, like, talked me through, like, what all the things on my hands mean and what my fingers mean.

Speaker A:

And apparently I'm psychic, which is amazing.

Speaker A:

I mean, I knew it, but now, like, somebody else said it, so it's true.

Speaker B:

Validation.

Speaker B:

Validation.

Speaker A:

Right, Right.

Speaker A:

And also, but very exciting is that we're gonna be famous.

Speaker A:

Like, our life is starting, like, right now.

Speaker A:

And that was so much vocal fry in my voice.

Speaker A:

I don't.

Speaker A:

I am so sorry.

Speaker A:

Like, and I would know I was doing it, like, sarcastically, but even sarcastically.

Speaker A:

That's too much vocal fry.

Speaker A:

Sorry, sorry.

Speaker B:

That was a lot.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Who are you?

Speaker A:

But yeah, so we're.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So Diane and I.

Speaker A:

Or I. I assume Diana's coming along for the ride because, you know, whatever.

Speaker A:

Like, that's just what happens.

Speaker A:

So she's part of you.

Speaker A:

She's part of my posse.

Speaker A:

So even if it's just me that gets famous and my posse gets famous by default.

Speaker B:

But we do.

Speaker B:

That's how we do.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

So, I mean, it could be for the show.

Speaker A:

It could be because I do something really insane at work or my odds.

Speaker A:

I really just think I'm gonna get arrested for doing something stupid.

Speaker B:

But it'd be fun stupid if it makes you famous.

Speaker A:

Oh, it's gonna be fun stupid.

Speaker A:

I'm going to England for like 12 days.

Speaker A:

I'm going to Scotland and England with a bunch of drunks.

Speaker A:

I love you guys, but you're a bunch of drunks, so who knows what's gonna happen?

Speaker B:

I need.

Speaker B:

Note to self.

Speaker B:

Set aside international bail money research.

Speaker B:

International bail deal.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

And remember, so, I mean, at least at this point, like, the.

Speaker A:

The dollar is like, got such shitty value that, yeah, it's equal.

Speaker B:

It's equal with the euro right now.

Speaker B:

We're good.

Speaker B:

It's.

Speaker A:

Well, I'm not going to.

Speaker A:

I'll be on the pound but it's the closest, like, it's ever been, so good times.

Speaker B:

Yay.

Speaker B:

Well, on that note, let's talk about this episode.

Speaker B:

We're on.

Speaker B:

Season five, season five, episode two.

Speaker A:

,:

Speaker A:

It actually filmed in July of:

Speaker A:

don't know how many years ago:

Speaker A:

Was that 13?

Speaker B:

I think it's 13.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Somebody today we were talking about some broadcast things.

Speaker A:

She.

Speaker A:

And she was just like, okay, like, this will be here.

Speaker A:

Like, Liz, practice counting to 10.

Speaker A:

I was like, what?

Speaker A:

And then she just like.

Speaker A:

I just.

Speaker A:

I'm like, I know what you meant.

Speaker A:

Anyway, so 13 or so more than a decade ago, this.

Speaker A:

This episode was filming right now, so.

Speaker B:

Yay.

Speaker A:

I don't know what that means, but.

Speaker A:

So it was directed by Phil and who was ep and a bunch of the boys stuff.

Speaker A:

And I think I saw his name pop up, but I think he may have directed.

Speaker A:

I'm not sure, but.

Speaker A:

But.

Speaker A:

And then Sarah.

Speaker A:

Sarah was the one.

Speaker A:

So who wrote this?

Speaker A:

So we talk about them all the time.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

But it does start off with Foreigner.

Speaker A:

And then I started thinking about, like, is Foreigner classic rock?

Speaker A:

Yes, it is.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And then I went into, like, a classic rock list on Spotify, and then I started thinking about, like, Meatloaf came on.

Speaker A:

And then I started pondering why meatloaf.

Speaker A:

And yes, this is what the episode did to me today.

Speaker A:

Thanks.

Speaker B:

Meloaf is from Texas as well.

Speaker A:

He.

Speaker A:

He is from Texas.

Speaker A:

But Dashboard Lights came on.

Speaker A:

And if you really listen to that song, I mean, which is about, you know, screwing and losing your virginity, but then there's also, like, marriage and all this.

Speaker A:

It's just weird.

Speaker B:

It is.

Speaker A:

I'm a weird person, and I'm so.

Speaker A:

I couldn't know if I do.

Speaker A:

I appreciate this weird or is it just why Meatloaf?

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker B:

I kind of appre.

Speaker B:

I kind of appreciate Meatloaf.

Speaker B:

Weird.

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

Yeah, but.

Speaker A:

Oh, anyways, rip Meatloaf.

Speaker A:

Maybe he'll be a ghost on and.

Speaker A:

Oh, man, if we gave him a podcast with the first ghost episode, that would be amazing.

Speaker A:

All right, so anyway, so foreigners.

Speaker A:

Long, long way from home.

Speaker A:

And we've got Bobby sitting in a trucker hat and a bathrobe like a champ.

Speaker B:

And he is pissed because he's still in the hospital.

Speaker B:

Actually, he's not even Matt.

Speaker B:

He's like.

Speaker B:

Bobby has, like, recessed into himself.

Speaker B:

He is depressed.

Speaker B:

Sam and Dean are there.

Speaker B:

Apparently.

Speaker B:

Bobby's been like this, like, three Days, like, just not talking.

Speaker B:

And Dean's like, well, we just need to cheer him up, because that's Dean's brilliant idea.

Speaker B:

And Sam's like, maybe he's just not gonna bounce back very fast this time.

Speaker B:

And.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So Dean busts out the X ray, though, that he just had taken of his chest.

Speaker B:

And it's gorgeous.

Speaker B:

It is impressive.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

He says the doctors are baffled because it's his chest X ray.

Speaker B:

With, like, with.

Speaker B:

You know, we.

Speaker B:

In the last episode, we got Castiel put his hand on their chest and, like, blam some, like, sigils into their rib cage.

Speaker B:

But this is more than I think anybody anticipated being done.

Speaker B:

Like, this is like, a full work of art on both of their rib cages, apparently.

Speaker B:

Kind of jealous.

Speaker B:

I also am very concerned that anybody in the body modification scene has already done.

Speaker B:

Tried to do this to themselves.

Speaker A:

Well, I mean, theoretically, you could not do this to yourself without doing an open chest surgery, because you would literally have to go in, open up, and then carve into your rib.

Speaker B:

You could do half and half.

Speaker B:

Half once, heal it up.

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

People are getting their ribs removed to be more like.

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I'm sure again, we'll see it on botched.

Speaker A:

But I also already was like, oh, man.

Speaker A:

Like, I need to figure out how to make that.

Speaker A:

And I think I already know because I've got some transparent paper, and I'm pretty sure that I could make that happen, so.

Speaker B:

Well, okay.

Speaker B:

You mean, like, looking X ray piece, not, like, getting your ribs done?

Speaker B:

To be clear.

Speaker A:

To be clear.

Speaker A:

Making the X ray, not carving into my ribs.

Speaker A:

I won't even get a rib tattoo.

Speaker A:

And partially this because I'm fat, but also it's because that is terrifying how much that hurts.

Speaker A:

But I.

Speaker A:

They're so pretty on other bodies.

Speaker B:

I'm gonna get more anyway, so.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Well, then Sam's phone rings, and Cassiel is calling Sam, asking where they are because of the etching on the ribs.

Speaker B:

He can't just find them, so he's got to call them on the phone to ask where they are at.

Speaker B:

So he shows up, and Bobby's like this, Castiel, heal me.

Speaker B:

Because he hears Castiel show up.

Speaker B:

Castiel's like, I can't.

Speaker B:

And Bobby's pissed.

Speaker B:

And he's like, yeah, I know.

Speaker B:

I'm totally cut off from my.

Speaker B:

From heaven in my powers.

Speaker B:

And Bobby is extra pissed and tells.

Speaker B:

He's like, this is like.

Speaker B:

He's just mad.

Speaker B:

He wants.

Speaker B:

He wants to be healed.

Speaker B:

He is pissed.

Speaker B:

He is Paralyzed from the stabbing.

Speaker B:

And he wants to be fixed.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And that's why earlier, when, you know, Sam was like, you know, it's going to take a little bit, Dean.

Speaker A:

You're like, hey, dude, can't walk, man.

Speaker A:

That takes a minute.

Speaker A:

Like, give him some space here.

Speaker A:

And obviously he's going through some, right?

Speaker A:

He's going through some.

Speaker B:

So Castiel tells Dean that.

Speaker B:

That Dean's plan to kill Lucifer can't be done.

Speaker B:

But Cassiel has a plan.

Speaker A:

Of course it was the Slan.

Speaker B:

Who is.

Speaker A:

It was who's gonna save it.

Speaker B:

He's gonna go find God.

Speaker A:

And I don't know if you notice, but both of their faces.

Speaker A:

And I've got it captured.

Speaker A:

So we'll share on places, but they have the best faces to this news, right?

Speaker A:

So Dean kind of has like his scowl, like, huh, God, what is my lover saying?

Speaker A:

And then Sam is just like, well, huh.

Speaker A:

And it looks like his eyes are about to go cross eyed.

Speaker B:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker A:

Like, almost like he was about to cross his eyes and stick out his tongue and knowing, like, I think like the.

Speaker A:

Like he pulls on set.

Speaker A:

He probably was.

Speaker B:

I was.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker B:

So Castiel's like, yeah, God isn't in heaven anymore.

Speaker B:

And Dean's like the.

Speaker B:

He's like, where is he?

Speaker B:

Something about.

Speaker B:

He makes a crack about being in New Mexico on a tortilla.

Speaker B:

And I was amused at Cass's response was, no, he's not on any flatbread.

Speaker A:

No.

Speaker A:

But.

Speaker A:

But bats are.

Speaker B:

So God's.

Speaker A:

You're just not even gonna explain that?

Speaker A:

You're just gonna let.

Speaker A:

Tortilla.

Speaker B:

I know.

Speaker B:

Tortilla bats.

Speaker A:

Tortilla bats.

Speaker B:

Poor Vita.

Speaker A:

Yeah, tortilla bats are me and Diana's next psychobilly band.

Speaker A:

So everybody appreciate it.

Speaker A:

You'll hear from us soon.

Speaker A:

Okay?

Speaker A:

Go on.

Speaker A:

Sorry.

Speaker B:

So Dean goes off and is like, God is dead or he doesn't give a rat's ass.

Speaker B:

The world's in a toilet.

Speaker B:

This is the end of fucking days.

Speaker B:

This is.

Speaker B:

Why are we going to look for God?

Speaker B:

This is attitude.

Speaker B:

And Cassio's like, look, this isn't a theological thing.

Speaker B:

It's strategic.

Speaker B:

This is the person.

Speaker B:

Like, you know, I lost.

Speaker B:

I gave up everything for you.

Speaker B:

This is the only person that can help.

Speaker B:

We, you know, Sam and Dean failed to stop all this.

Speaker B:

We're desperate.

Speaker B:

God is our answer here.

Speaker B:

That's all we got, right?

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker B:

And Bobby's like, well, what.

Speaker B:

What do you want?

Speaker B:

Castiel to make this happen and there's some rare and powerful amulet that burns hot in God's presence that he needs.

Speaker B:

Oh, it just happens to be the amulet Dean's wearing around his goddamn neck.

Speaker B:

That's convenient.

Speaker B:

Of course.

Speaker B:

So he takes the amulet from him and Dean is very sad.

Speaker B:

He said he feels naked.

Speaker A:

That's how you explained what just happened?

Speaker A:

That he just takes the amulet and Dean is very sad.

Speaker A:

Oh, no, this is a full on death.

Speaker A:

No, it's a fucking Destiel scene.

Speaker A:

Like I.

Speaker A:

Like I've recorded audio and sent it to you earlier.

Speaker A:

So everybody knows this is like a complete love scene, right?

Speaker A:

So Dean is like, what this?

Speaker A:

And Castiel goes, may I borrow it?

Speaker A:

And Dean goes, no.

Speaker A:

And then Cassiel goes, dean, give it to me.

Speaker A:

And that's what I sent Diana earlier, by the way.

Speaker A:

And then so, well, Dean said.

Speaker A:

This is straight from the transcript.

Speaker A:

Dean is silent, realizing Castiel is serious.

Speaker A:

Then thinking it over, he takes off the amulet.

Speaker A:

All right, I guess Dean holds it out, then pulls back when Castiel reaches for it.

Speaker A:

Don't lose it, says Dean.

Speaker A:

Castiel takes it.

Speaker A:

And then Dean says, great, now I feel naked.

Speaker B:

See?

Speaker A:

Naked.

Speaker A:

He's fucking naked.

Speaker A:

And then Castiel says, I feel naked about.

Speaker B:

He's got a watch on.

Speaker B:

That's the same thing he feels necklace.

Speaker B:

He wears that.

Speaker B:

That amulet all the time.

Speaker B:

And now it's gone.

Speaker B:

I feel negative hunger.

Speaker B:

Watch.

Speaker B:

The same thing?

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

No, Cassio says, give it to me.

Speaker A:

And then Dean says, naked.

Speaker A:

That is clearly what happened.

Speaker A:

But in reality also, that amulet was like the one that, that Jensen is wearing was made of brass and very heavy.

Speaker A:

And apparently there was like a stunt amulet, which I think is hysterical.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

Like the fact there's just like a stunt ambulance that isn't made of brass.

Speaker A:

So like when it FL.

Speaker A:

Flies around, it doesn't hurt you.

Speaker A:

So if you forgot to take it off.

Speaker A:

Like he chipped teeth and stuff.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

But what if you're like, well, man, like, I want an amulet of my own.

Speaker A:

Where do you go?

Speaker B:

How do you get an amulet?

Speaker A:

You go to.

Speaker B:

Go to Liz's Haunted Home Shopping Network.

Speaker A:

It's Liz's Haunted Home Shopping.

Speaker A:

That is where we're going.

Speaker B:

Going?

Speaker A:

Yes, we're going shopping.

Speaker A:

All right, shopping time.

Speaker A:

Get out those credit cards.

Speaker A:

All right, the first item that we're going to be talking about is from m ho song 14 on Etsy.

Speaker A:

On Etsy.

Speaker A:

And I really kind of debated whether or not I was going to say some of these names, but whatever.

Speaker A:

You put your.

Speaker A:

On Etsy.

Speaker A:

All right, so this first one we're starting off with is this lovely antique King of something in Thai.

Speaker A:

And I don't, I did not get the, the pronunciation of that one but it is really translated to closing eyes Buddha.

Speaker A:

And it also is in the description luck, wealth, charm, good business.

Speaker A:

Old Thailand pendant, rare.

Speaker A:

All right, so that's the title for it and it could be yours for $50,000.

Speaker B:

That's all?

Speaker A:

That's it.

Speaker A:

What do I get with $50,000 you ask?

Speaker A:

Well, you get.

Speaker A:

You can add your own personalization.

Speaker A:

Oh yeah, you can put something on this Buddha.

Speaker A:

It'll be really great rug, you know, maybe listen on the belly, give him a nice little rocker like, like Buddha's belly just said like tada.

Speaker A:

Like that would be amazing.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

So you can put that on there.

Speaker A:

You also get power magical.

Speaker A:

I don't know what power magical is, but cool.

Speaker A:

This is blessing by Buddhist priests in a past chanting ceremony.

Speaker A:

So I think we have, we monks have blessed this hurrah.

Speaker A:

And we also have a hundred percent satisfaction guarantee on this item.

Speaker A:

So if you're not pleased with this, you can just send this back to imho.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

This amulet also came from the shop owner's own grandfather.

Speaker A:

Isn't that great?

Speaker A:

You don't want to pass on this fantastic gift for someone special to worship.

Speaker A:

I know it's a person you're going to worship or to worship the amulet but.

Speaker A:

Right, but you keep it with you for a good luck term, good business and life protection power or keep it in your house.

Speaker A:

It is a fabulous collector's item indeed.

Speaker A:

Those are their words, not mine.

Speaker A:

They said that?

Speaker A:

Indeed.

Speaker A:

And if you order now, order now.

Speaker A:

You get free shipping to worldwide two worldwide, wherever.

Speaker A:

Worldwide like and they do this one we, we will ship in one business days after payment confirmed.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

So you're looking at this.

Speaker A:

You're like closed eye Buddha.

Speaker A:

I'm not feeling it.

Speaker A:

You know what I really want?

Speaker A:

I want to gamble.

Speaker A:

See, so what you need for that is the gambling gamble Thai amulet of the Thailand's horny little devil.

Speaker A:

And I think I need to go to my.

Speaker A:

I. I think my friend has told me.

Speaker A:

Let's see if we can hear this.

Speaker A:

How it you're supposed to say this?

Speaker B:

My mom just called me.

Speaker A:

She said it's pot nong.

Speaker A:

Could you hear that?

Speaker B:

Huh?

Speaker A:

So potnong.

Speaker A:

So my friend who is Thai toy the pronouns because I could not find on the Internet how to say this.

Speaker A:

So I'm not going to attempt to repronounce that.

Speaker A:

And I'm gonna let that be.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Mick.

Speaker A:

All right, so.

Speaker A:

But you will love this little imp in his red eyes, they follow you everywhere.

Speaker A:

And they're kind of adorable.

Speaker A:

I mean, they must be made of some rubies.

Speaker A:

Sure, sure, sure.

Speaker A:

It does say mixed material, so, I mean, ruby is a material, right?

Speaker A:

I mean, or kind of looks like a pasting.

Speaker A:

Like, I don't know, Swarovski?

Speaker B:

Like, maybe sparkles better than that.

Speaker A:

Yeah, like what I buy on Amazon when I want to bedazzle.

Speaker A:

That is kind of what his little cute eyes say it is.

Speaker A:

It's adorable.

Speaker B:

It is adorable, but not $50,000 adorable.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

So, I mean, this is what you get with it, right?

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

It will protect the owner from the bad things, such as evil black magic to improve a love.

Speaker A:

Wait, I guess this is a good part now.

Speaker A:

All right, so.

Speaker A:

Or it's protecting you from this.

Speaker A:

Not sure.

Speaker A:

All right, so you improve a love charm, luck and wealth makeover.

Speaker A:

Makeover.

Speaker A:

Who doesn't love a good makeover, right?

Speaker B:

Everybody loves a good makeover.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

Much like the jewel we showed before.

Speaker B:

This.

Speaker A:

Now remember, this is the same IMHO shop.

Speaker A:

It does have free world shipping, but this one ships in two business days after payment is confirmed.

Speaker B:

Whoa.

Speaker A:

So just so you know, if you're in a hurry, you may want to get closed eye.

Speaker A:

Buddha, not gambling, gamb, gambler, whatever little red eye thing.

Speaker A:

All right, so.

Speaker A:

And, and yeah, again, $50,000.

Speaker A:

But you know, I mean, he's a horny little devil.

Speaker A:

He's great.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

And maybe, you know, but some of us are like, that's a little, little high for me.

Speaker A:

I mean, you don't have those amulets yet, so you can't, you know, so you have the money.

Speaker B:

Start with a lower level amp.

Speaker B:

You've got to start with a more budget, cost conscious amulet so that you can have the funds to buy the more expensive amulets later.

Speaker A:

Right, Exactly.

Speaker A:

And for those of you like, we do have this tasso or horse tooth, that's 10 off.

Speaker A:

So it's 10 off and I think it runs out.

Speaker A:

You know, it's.

Speaker A:

It's.

Speaker A:

It's under two grand.

Speaker A:

So it is a horse tooth, but does not come from a horse's mouth.

Speaker A:

Just so we know.

Speaker A:

This is a precious Tibetan bead.

Speaker A:

Now, how often can you find a precious Tibetan bead?

Speaker A:

I mean, though they're rare, right?

Speaker B:

I mean, who doesn't love a sale?

Speaker A:

And who doesn't.

Speaker A:

These are on sale.

Speaker A:

They are 10 off.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

And these are some of the oldest Z beads that you we've ever seen.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

And we can get endurance, beauty, elegance, and freedom.

Speaker A:

Just like the sacred animal, the horse.

Speaker A:

Yep, yep.

Speaker A:

So this can also help you to not only overcome barriers, but also will favor the pursuit of luck.

Speaker A:

And it helps to be at the right time and right place so you can grab luck by the tail.

Speaker A:

Oh, because it's a horse.

Speaker A:

Yeah, you get it.

Speaker A:

You get it.

Speaker A:

But if you wear this, then it allows the owner to be in those places so that.

Speaker A:

So that you could find it.

Speaker A:

And the horses also can become very loyal to their owners.

Speaker A:

So this bee can become very affectionate and loyal to you.

Speaker A:

So if you need a friend.

Speaker B:

It's an affectionate bead.

Speaker A:

It's an affectionate bead.

Speaker A:

Horse bead.

Speaker B:

So that just sells itself.

Speaker A:

It does.

Speaker B:

It really.

Speaker A:

It really does.

Speaker A:

Okay, so so far we've been talking a lot about money and luck, but what about love, right?

Speaker A:

Don't we all deserve some love?

Speaker B:

Sure.

Speaker A:

I think so.

Speaker A:

I think so.

Speaker A:

All right, so now let's take a look at this marry me amulet.

Speaker A:

Extremely dangerous.

Speaker A:

Oh my.

Speaker A:

Oh, it's dangerous.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

But it is selling for the bargain price of $1,888.

Speaker A:

And with that, you could also add your own personalization.

Speaker A:

So great, let's make it special.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

We want something that's unique.

Speaker B:

Better be personalized.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

But there's a caution.

Speaker A:

Spirits of higher realm are summoning here to help you and will never harm you.

Speaker A:

Please do not engage the spell out of curiosity.

Speaker A:

It will be disrespectful, so don't do that.

Speaker B:

I don't know if I've ever had that curious of an eighteen hundred dollars.

Speaker A:

I don't know, but.

Speaker A:

Well, let's see.

Speaker A:

What does eighteen hundred get?

Speaker A:

What does it get you?

Speaker A:

What's it made of?

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

Okay, so you materials are candles, mantra chanting, candle making, spell jar.

Speaker B:

So it's not so much of like a jewelry amulet that you would wear.

Speaker B:

It is more of a package to do a spell.

Speaker A:

I. I'm guessing.

Speaker A:

And also paying for somebody to make candles.

Speaker A:

Like somebody should have paid you for all the candles that you made during co.

Speaker A:

So, yeah, Diana, pimp.

Speaker A:

Your pimp.

Speaker A:

Whatever site you're still selling candles on here.

Speaker B:

They're not.

Speaker B:

They're not online.

Speaker A:

They're done.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Making candles.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

She had a problem.

Speaker A:

It was.

Speaker A:

It became a thing.

Speaker A:

Okay, so this.

Speaker B:

I don't.

Speaker B:

I can't sit still very well.

Speaker B:

And we were in a goddamn pandemic, and I. I know.

Speaker A:

We all did things.

Speaker A:

We did things.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

I have.

Speaker A:

I have a rower.

Speaker A:

So anyhow, so this is the amulet you should possess.

Speaker A:

And if your ultimate goal is matrimony, is there a person in your life who means the world to you?

Speaker A:

Are you ready to tie the knot?

Speaker A:

Then you should possess the Marry Me Amulet.

Speaker A:

I. I agree.

Speaker A:

I want the Marry Me Amulet.

Speaker A:

So you should do this.

Speaker A:

If your lover is preventing the relationship from moving forward.

Speaker B:

If you're.

Speaker B:

Maybe you should marry them.

Speaker B:

I'm just kidding.

Speaker A:

Yeah, probably that's a sign.

Speaker A:

Maybe if your lover is having second thoughts about you and your future together, just buy them to you with magic.

Speaker A:

It's fine if you were certain that marriage would bond the two of you together, which is what marriage is supposed to do, but.

Speaker A:

Okay, that's great.

Speaker B:

Oh, that's.

Speaker B:

That's the definition.

Speaker A:

So the Marry Me amulet is designed to do one thing.

Speaker A:

Pierce the heart of your loved one, making them not only aware of your desires, but bringing their desires and their love to you to the same level so you can be crazy together.

Speaker A:

It's so good.

Speaker A:

I love two crazy people in love.

Speaker A:

Like it works out well.

Speaker A:

Or at least I get some date lines out of it.

Speaker A:

And so this mystical amulet will bring love, loyalty, and passion to those who possess it.

Speaker A:

Listen, passion, Right.

Speaker A:

So to get started, though, you do need to send some things.

Speaker A:

So to this person on Etsy, you need to send both of yours full names, both of yours mother's names, both of yours date of birth, both of your time of birth, but that's optional.

Speaker A:

Both of yours birthplace, both of your current address, and both of yours picture.

Speaker B:

Hmm.

Speaker B:

So identity theft is the answer.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

That's how you love together, because you both are.

Speaker A:

Your.

Speaker A:

Both of your money is gone, so you have nothing to do but default in love.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

So that was the Marry Me Amulet.

Speaker A:

It's available.

Speaker B:

Huh?

Speaker A:

We do not endorse the thing.

Speaker A:

We're not sponsored by the Mary amulet.

Speaker A:

We do not spot.

Speaker A:

You know, do what you will with it.

Speaker B:

This is not.

Speaker B:

This is not an endorsement or recommendation of any product whatsoever.

Speaker A:

Not endorsement.

Speaker A:

Not.

Speaker A:

Not in.

Speaker A:

Whatever you want to buy it.

Speaker A:

Sure, we're not saying to either.

Speaker B:

We're just saying.

Speaker A:

Saying not.

Speaker A:

Not, not to.

Speaker A:

But, you know.

Speaker A:

All right, so if your identity has not been stolen yet and you still need that extra piece for your home, may we suggest the super rare and collectible Two Head Ten Tails lizard mystery powerful Thai amulet.

Speaker B:

Motherfucker's kind of cool looking.

Speaker B:

I'm not going to lie.

Speaker A:

I'm not going to lie.

Speaker A:

It's kind of cool, but creepy.

Speaker A:

Because just like the title suggests, it is a lizard with two heads and ten tails.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

And it, it's not a descriptive.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I mean I, I, I wouldn't, it's not a wet, it's not a wet spec.

Speaker A:

It's not a, I don't know, like it's, it's a taxidermy, but it's in a thing.

Speaker B:

Dry specimen in a container.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So it looks like kind of taxidermy, like in a quartz crystal or something.

Speaker B:

I bet that's plastic.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

It's in very good condition though.

Speaker A:

It's what it says.

Speaker A:

It's very good in condition.

Speaker A:

It also has been blessed by Buddhist monks with holy water.

Speaker A:

Not just any water, holy water.

Speaker A:

As all Thai ambulance has been blessed by monks.

Speaker A:

They made that very clear.

Speaker A:

There is no need to bless them again.

Speaker A:

Nope, nope.

Speaker A:

No need.

Speaker B:

No.

Speaker B:

It's done.

Speaker A:

As the pure spiritual power which has already been embedded inside the amulet will remain forever.

Speaker A:

But the ambulance will empower its power only if the proprietor thinks good.

Speaker A:

Do good things and say good things.

Speaker A:

So this is all on you, buddy.

Speaker A:

All right?

Speaker A:

So you need to do good things.

Speaker B:

And say good things and are person.

Speaker B:

Then good things will come to you because of the amulet, not because you're a good doing.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

This Amulet that costs $9,999.

Speaker A:

But frankly.

Speaker B:

Or you could just follow their recommendation.

Speaker B:

Just don't be a dick, huh?

Speaker B:

And then maybe good things will come to you.

Speaker A:

I don't know trademark.

Speaker A:

But, but I mean really, you're paying for the ten tailed lizard.

Speaker A:

So I have a lot of lizards that live at my house.

Speaker A:

They're adorable.

Speaker A:

We have like bearded ones and I forgot some other things, but sometimes I have some albino ones that live in the garage.

Speaker A:

They're fun, but they don't have ten.

Speaker B:

Tails or two heads.

Speaker A:

So cut.

Speaker A:

Something happened to that poor lizard.

Speaker A:

Poor, poor lizard.

Speaker A:

Like who found this lizard?

Speaker A:

Like I have so many questions, so, so many questions about this board.

Speaker A:

And the thing is this one's on ebay so you can actually go and look.

Speaker A:

And there's many other ones because apparently the thing this brings you extra luck.

Speaker A:

Like the more number of heads and the more tails.

Speaker A:

All of them are more luck within this amulet.

Speaker A:

But like I don't trust people and I'm just like, y' all are mutating lizards.

Speaker A:

Like so like either like through like radiation or like you're just like mutated lizards.

Speaker A:

The other mutated lizards I just see like this factory happening somewhere in Thailand.

Speaker A:

So if you are the proprietor of the lizard Factory.

Speaker A:

Please contact me through my dms.

Speaker A:

All right, so our last item.

Speaker A:

All right, let's get through this.

Speaker A:

All right, so our last item is our bargain item.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

So we know.

Speaker A:

$9,900.

Speaker A:

It's a lot.

Speaker A:

$50,000, It's a lot.

Speaker A:

Unless you have the ambulance, and then it's nothing.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

So if you already bought those, whatever, you.

Speaker A:

You don't need this.

Speaker A:

Or maybe you do.

Speaker A:

All right, so here for the price of $19.99 and free four days.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

And four day shipping.

Speaker A:

Free four day shipping.

Speaker A:

Four.

Speaker A:

I don't know what.

Speaker A:

What shipping company offers four day shipping, but whatever is a thing.

Speaker A:

Sure, sure.

Speaker A:

You can have powerful protection, magic, voodoo, black chicken foot charm, amulet.

Speaker A:

And so like, I looked at that at first and I was like, did they put the black magic?

Speaker A:

Like, did they move the black?

Speaker A:

Like, was this a typo?

Speaker A:

But nah, it's a black chicken foot.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Feet.

Speaker A:

Feet.

Speaker B:

be exam chicken feets for the:

Speaker A:

It's a bargain, man, you're less.

Speaker A:

Like, that is like ten dollars less than ten dollars.

Speaker B:

Ten bucks a foot.

Speaker B:

Ten dollars.

Speaker A:

Ten bucks a foot.

Speaker A:

10 Bucks a foot, Right?

Speaker A:

And they're kind of cool looking, I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker A:

But they do offer protection from evil and thievery and bad intent.

Speaker A:

It comes with a special spell.

Speaker A:

Personalized magic can be applied on request.

Speaker A:

This is 19.99, y'.

Speaker B:

All.

Speaker A:

This is.

Speaker B:

That's impressive.

Speaker A:

Bargain.

Speaker A:

It's a bargain.

Speaker A:

It can be worn or placed near valuables.

Speaker A:

And I think they are just trying out to be earrings.

Speaker A:

Like, they have this little attached metal them and in a chain.

Speaker A:

And they're just like, man, you.

Speaker A:

You wear that out, you were gonna have like, the best.

Speaker A:

Nobody's gonna rob you at all.

Speaker A:

Nobody gonna rob you if you're wearing black.

Speaker B:

And they're gonna be like, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm sorry.

Speaker A:

And they'll be like, wait, are those chicken feet?

Speaker A:

And then you're gonna be like, yeah, man, they're real.

Speaker A:

And like, yeah.

Speaker A:

Then they're just gonna walk away or give you their money, I think.

Speaker A:

Yeah, they're just like, here, man.

Speaker A:

Like, just take my.

Speaker A:

Like, you need this.

Speaker B:

I'm good.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

You can also have special decor and charms and chains and feathers added on request.

Speaker A:

So there's like, different items you can look at.

Speaker A:

Each item is unique and made to order by a voodoo witch doctor.

Speaker A:

Although limited supplies are available.

Speaker A:

And like I said, I mean, honestly, they're not terrible looking.

Speaker A:

They're Kind of cool.

Speaker A:

And I don't want to.

Speaker A:

With a witch doctor.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I just don't want to be cursed by one.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

But also then I started thinking about this from an entrepreneur's perspective, and that was also something the psychic told me.

Speaker A:

I'm an entrepreneur.

Speaker A:

So how about this on Shark Tank?

Speaker A:

All right, so those chicken feet, if I am not mistaken, I can get a. I can still.

Speaker A:

Even in this timeline, I think I can get a bag of chicken feet for, like, a dollar at the store.

Speaker B:

Right?

Speaker B:

And you can sit them or something with black.

Speaker A:

The neighborhood you live in, Diana.

Speaker A:

Like, there are so many chicken feet.

Speaker A:

I'm sure you go to Tom Thumb.

Speaker A:

I bet you've got, like, a cooler full of chicken feet.

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker B:

Probably.

Speaker A:

Look, next time you go Tom Thumb, like.

Speaker B:

Like Tom Thumb Fiesta print, baby.

Speaker A:

Oh, no.

Speaker A:

Other Fiesta.

Speaker A:

Yeah, there's.

Speaker A:

There is just, like.

Speaker A:

There's an aisle.

Speaker A:

There's a chicken feet aisle.

Speaker A:

But yeah.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker B:

So.

Speaker A:

Yeah, so.

Speaker A:

But, like, really, that's like a dollar, and you probably get, like, 24 chicken feet in there.

Speaker A:

And, like, you're selling these for 20 bucks.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

It's a nice market.

Speaker A:

Good on you, man.

Speaker B:

Healthy, healthy.

Speaker B:

Healthy profit margin.

Speaker B:

Healthy profit.

Speaker A:

This does come with a mini sample bottle of magic black chicken oil.

Speaker B:

I don't.

Speaker B:

I don't know what that means.

Speaker A:

I don't either.

Speaker B:

I don't.

Speaker A:

And it didn't say.

Speaker B:

Is it like.

Speaker B:

I don't really know.

Speaker B:

Let's leave that alone.

Speaker B:

I'm gonna leave that alone.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And so, I mean, you know I'm gonna order these for you, right?

Speaker B:

God Damn it.

Speaker A:

The 20 bucks, man.

Speaker A:

Is this worth $20?

Speaker A:

Yeah, it's worth $20.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Apparently they're shipping from some Santeria in LA.

Speaker A:

All right, so moving on.

Speaker A:

Body.

Speaker A:

Bobby wants God to send legs.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

That's the end of the home shopping.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And we cut right up.

Speaker B:

So Bobby does say, when you find God, tell him to send legs.

Speaker B:

And we cut immediately.

Speaker B:

Then to Rufus.

Speaker B:

What?

Speaker B:

Rufus Turner.

Speaker B:

Here he is, and he's got a shotgun at a gas station in, like, a big fight firefight with pulling an injured guy behind.

Speaker A:

What kind of shotgun is that?

Speaker B:

I didn't look closely.

Speaker A:

It was a. I mean, it was.

Speaker A:

Obviously it was an automatic, but it was.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I don't know what was going on, like, at the top of it.

Speaker A:

Almost looked like there was a bayonet on top of it.

Speaker A:

I didn't.

Speaker A:

I didn't look in it because I didn't have time because I Thought you would know.

Speaker B:

I failed you.

Speaker B:

Failed you.

Speaker B:

So we've got this.

Speaker B:

Basically.

Speaker B:

We've got, like, I don't want to.

Speaker A:

Know your spiritual advisor anymore.

Speaker A:

I'm sorry.

Speaker B:

We.

Speaker A:

Could we cut that out?

Speaker A:

All right, go ahead.

Speaker B:

So we're at.

Speaker B:

We're obviously in some small town.

Speaker B:

We don't really know where Rufus is in a firefight with somebody, and he's got to put a tourniquet on this kid's leg.

Speaker B:

As a kid, he's a.

Speaker B:

Like a young adult.

Speaker A:

A kid.

Speaker A:

I mean, he's a teenager.

Speaker A:

It looks like he.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

He could be 12 or 9 or 25.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

He's somewhere between those ages.

Speaker B:

I mean, I'd say, like, 16 to 25, but.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Anyway, so Rufus calls Bobby, and the phone's all up.

Speaker B:

There's cell, car, cell coverage is garbage.

Speaker B:

But he's like, I'm up.

Speaker A:

That's a sat phone.

Speaker B:

He was on a sat phone.

Speaker B:

Which also kind of like, if those aren't connected real well, they can be real wonky.

Speaker A:

Well, they can, but then also, my notes are like, damn it.

Speaker A:

I still need to buy a sad phone.

Speaker B:

Because the apocalypse, occasionally, it was pretty exciting.

Speaker A:

They're exciting.

Speaker A:

They're cool.

Speaker B:

But, like, so do, like, they do a monthly test on it.

Speaker B:

Like, if you have a sat phone.

Speaker B:

Because, like, it's like, equipment maintenance.

Speaker B:

And I work.

Speaker B:

When I briefly worked in security field, we'd have to check our sat phone.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Pretty cool.

Speaker B:

I felt really cool when I got to test it.

Speaker A:

I'm trying to think of how I could say that.

Speaker A:

So, like, emergency operating centers that also have sat phones, like, they have to go around and test those sat phones and all the cell towers that go into emergency operating numbers.

Speaker A:

Like, so.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

I just want one.

Speaker A:

They're cool, but the plants are very expensive, so I don't know how big my tinfoil hat is.

Speaker A:

Anyhow, okay, so.

Speaker A:

But he's up to his ass in.

Speaker B:

Demons in River Pass, Colorado, and he's asking Bobby for help.

Speaker B:

And as he's doing that, there's two demons coming for him.

Speaker B:

It's a biker and a redneck with an axe, Just deeply amused Colorado.

Speaker B:

And then the call drops, so.

Speaker B:

And, yes, it's appropriate.

Speaker B:

So we cut back.

Speaker B:

Now we've got our Winchester brothers driving baby to River Pass, Colorado.

Speaker B:

And of course, as they get to small.

Speaker B:

This small town, the bridge is out.

Speaker B:

Because, of course, the bridge is out.

Speaker B:

And it looks like something just, like, totally ripped through this concrete and steel.

Speaker B:

It was kind of impressive tear out.

Speaker A:

Of this bridge, but it was impressive.

Speaker A:

It took four days for them to shoot like that.

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

Like, that's like 10 seconds, right?

Speaker A:

And it took them four days to shoot that scene because it was so much.

Speaker A:

I don't know, it's.

Speaker A:

But it's, you know, special effects and so.

Speaker A:

It was really cool, though.

Speaker A:

It was an amazing shot.

Speaker B:

The only road in and out.

Speaker B:

How many towns are actually like that?

Speaker B:

I'm gonna hedge that.

Speaker B:

There are very, very, very, very, very few where they have literally one road in and out.

Speaker B:

And it goes over a very perilous bridge that can be easily knocked over.

Speaker A:

Like, do you live in that town?

Speaker A:

If you do, let me know because that you shouldn't live in that town.

Speaker B:

Although your emergency services should do some research and your county should build you another bridge.

Speaker A:

But I also feel from a defensive standpoint, that makes me feel very secure.

Speaker B:

No, you have two.

Speaker B:

Because you can have one in and one out that way.

Speaker A:

I mean, but they can't know.

Speaker A:

Like, it has to be a secret way out.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

So, like, a ton of two evacs.

Speaker B:

Two evacs, two exits.

Speaker B:

You're gonna have two ways out.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

But then, like, if you have two ways out, that's two ways in.

Speaker A:

So if you only have one thing.

Speaker A:

And then I can, like, discon.

Speaker A:

Yeah, it's the risk.

Speaker B:

It's the risk you gotta have.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

See, I. I trust myself more to defend myself than to go.

Speaker A:

Anyways, okay, so.

Speaker A:

But this town did not defend themselves.

Speaker A:

I think the boys should chorus as they're walking through, but.

Speaker A:

But instead they're walking to.

Speaker A:

Let's play.

Speaker B:

They're walking to.

Speaker B:

Spirit in the sky by Norman Greenbaum.

Speaker B:

Funny enough, this song was just on Shazam the other night.

Speaker B:

And I was very proud of myself because I knew it right away, and I knew who sang it.

Speaker B:

Came out in:

Speaker A:

Wait, did you know that before or after you watched this?

Speaker B:

I knew this song name.

Speaker B:

I didn't know Norman.

Speaker A:

So did the Shazam happen before or after you watched the episode?

Speaker A:

That's awesome.

Speaker A:

So great.

Speaker B:

See, I was really excited.

Speaker A:

Supernatural gives you knowledge.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So what was interesting is that it was Norman.

Speaker B:

Norman Green.

Speaker B:

Bob was inspired to write this song after watching Porter Wagner sing about a preacher on tv.

Speaker A:

Interesting.

Speaker B:

Not really relevant to Supernatural, just something I thought we would.

Speaker A:

Whatever.

Speaker B:

So hopefully someone else does, but.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

All right.

Speaker B:

So, yeah, they're, you know, they run up.

Speaker B:

You know, they're walking through this town.

Speaker B:

There's cars flipped.

Speaker B:

Everything's just kind of abandoned.

Speaker B:

It's really kind of creepy.

Speaker A:

And except for the fishing rods, which are all, like, still, like, they're all pointed up and, like, in their little rod holes.

Speaker B:

Rod holder.

Speaker B:

Well, what I thought was really into a really clever use of music here, though, is that we're hearing the music, like, fully, like a.

Speaker B:

Like we do whenever they use background music on the show.

Speaker B:

But as they're walking up this one car that's left running, the music slowly transitions, so the direction and the tone of it changes.

Speaker B:

So now it is playing from the shitty speakers in this car instead of being the background music.

Speaker B:

I just thought it was a really cool effect that they did.

Speaker A:

Yeah, no, that was a brilliant move.

Speaker B:

So there's some really, really cool stuff.

Speaker B:

I'm gonna go ahead and be up front.

Speaker B:

There's really, really cool things about this episode.

Speaker B:

I kind of don't like this episode.

Speaker B:

It kind of upset me.

Speaker B:

I'm just gonna be up front.

Speaker B:

Well, we haven't talked about that yet today, but there's really cool stuff like that that I'm like, man, I really appreciate that.

Speaker B:

But also, the storyline I don't love.

Speaker B:

That's me.

Speaker A:

So we do, like, as they're walking through, we do see a banner for the 75th anniversary of Pioneer Days.

Speaker A:

And of course, they threw Easter eggs in there.

Speaker A:

And so the grand marshal is a production designer.

Speaker A:

Jerry.

Speaker A:

Sorry, dude, if I.

Speaker A:

Whatever.

Speaker A:

Your name has Wa.

Speaker A:

And I have a Waddell name, so I get it.

Speaker A:

So it could be Wa Neck or Wannek.

Speaker A:

And then the rodeo queen is Lili Le Shook, which is a shout out to their graphic, the graphic artist, Lee Ann Elishuk or Ella Chuck.

Speaker A:

Sorry, also if I butcher your name.

Speaker A:

But so, yay, Easter eggs.

Speaker A:

And then we see.

Speaker B:

Well, there's.

Speaker B:

It's a horrible scene of blood splatter with a stroller that's been run over by a car.

Speaker B:

But then we hear.

Speaker A:

And there's also a shiny red Mustang.

Speaker B:

And there's a shiny red Mustang in the.

Speaker B:

All the arrays of abandoned cars out there, but that one stands out because it's shiny red Mustang from my.

Speaker A:

And it's not with, like.

Speaker B:

Yeah, it hasn't been, like, opened or just left running or anything crazy.

Speaker B:

So we hear a gun, and they turn around, and it's Ellen.

Speaker A:

Hello, boys.

Speaker B:

What?

Speaker B:

We haven't seen her in a while.

Speaker B:

And she splashes Dean in the face with holy water and then almost shoots him in the face.

Speaker B:

It's pretty funny.

Speaker A:

You know, I would really, like, to be able to just, like, walk up to my friends and throw water.

Speaker B:

Throw holy water in their face and just shrug.

Speaker B:

Throw holy water in their face and then hold a gun to their face to watch, make sure they don't react.

Speaker B:

And then be like, all right, let's go.

Speaker B:

Let's go hang out.

Speaker B:

Okay, guys.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker B:

Yep.

Speaker A:

But before that, before I talk to you, we're gonna do one more thing.

Speaker A:

And we're gonna walk into this building that has a devil's trap and salt on it, and she just, like, stomps her fit in the salt.

Speaker A:

So 1.

Speaker A:

You broke your seal, Ellen.

Speaker A:

Like, way to go.

Speaker B:

Don't break the seal, Ellen.

Speaker A:

It was it.

Speaker A:

Like, I don't know why.

Speaker A:

Like, if she was trying to show that she could touch salt.

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker B:

So they go inside, and she Then.

Speaker B:

At this point now, she can be emotional.

Speaker B:

So she gives Dean a big hug because she hadn't.

Speaker B:

She had heard that he was alive, but she hadn't seen him.

Speaker B:

And so she was very, you know, mad that he hadn't called or followed up with them.

Speaker A:

Dick move, guys.

Speaker A:

Like, yeah, like, why haven't you.

Speaker A:

Like, Ellen's badass.

Speaker A:

Like, you keep in touch with that woman.

Speaker A:

She'll save your ass one day.

Speaker B:

So basically, she's trying to tell them what's going on and that they're.

Speaker B:

You know, there's demons in the whole town.

Speaker B:

And it asks them if this is the end times.

Speaker B:

And so they go into this other room.

Speaker B:

There's, like, nine.

Speaker B:

There's a small group of, like, nine people from the town in this room.

Speaker B:

Like, it's kind of like the basement of the church, I guess.

Speaker B:

It's not really, like.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I guess.

Speaker B:

Gathering room at the church.

Speaker B:

And she tells everybody they're hunters that are there to help and that.

Speaker B:

And she got there because Rufus called her as well.

Speaker B:

He was.

Speaker B:

And he was there investigating omens, and the town was possessed.

Speaker B:

And so Ellen and Joe had been hunting together and ended up there.

Speaker B:

And Sam's like, well, let's just get these people out of town, then.

Speaker B:

What the.

Speaker B:

And she's like, yeah, we've tried, but there used to be 20 of us, and now there's 10, basically.

Speaker B:

She doesn't say that, but.

Speaker A:

Oops, the math.

Speaker A:

Yep, yep, yep.

Speaker B:

And he's like, well, let's just go get more guns.

Speaker B:

And.

Speaker B:

Because Sam saw the sporting goods on his way in, and so they're like, yeah, all right.

Speaker B:

Well, they're gonna go find guns, Salt.

Speaker B:

Joe and Rufus.

Speaker B:

That's the Mission.

Speaker A:

That's the shopping list.

Speaker A:

It's like on a little post it.

Speaker B:

Guns, Guns, Joe Salt, Rufus.

Speaker B:

And then.

Speaker B:

And the stairwell though, they stop because Dean's like, yeah, maybe I go.

Speaker B:

And Sam, you gotta just stay here with these guys.

Speaker B:

And Sam's like, oh, you just don't want me around Demons.

Speaker B:

Guns.

Speaker B:

And Dean tries to lie, but obviously that's what's going on.

Speaker A:

Obviously still being a little.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And he's upset, but Sam's like, look, fine, I'll just go get Salt, you go get the guns.

Speaker B:

And now Dean's like, well, maybe we shouldn't separate.

Speaker B:

Hold on a minute.

Speaker B:

So pick.

Speaker B:

Make up your mind, Dean.

Speaker B:

So that they do his ham's like, let's just be professional and let me go do my.

Speaker A:

And so what the is that you're not professionals.

Speaker A:

You're not.

Speaker A:

You're not the FBI.

Speaker A:

Like you're two hunters.

Speaker A:

Like what the just going to let me relationship now?

Speaker A:

Yeah, no, let's make sure.

Speaker A:

Like, you know, we've got to file this.

Speaker B:

He's going to file the HR report.

Speaker B:

Oh my God.

Speaker B:

All right, so Sam goes to the Quick Mart to get rock salt.

Speaker B:

And two demons come in.

Speaker B:

And they're young kids, like teen, teen teens.

Speaker B:

And at first they don't see him.

Speaker B:

But then of course he makes a noise.

Speaker B:

And then they do.

Speaker B:

Supposed to be a big fight.

Speaker B:

And Sam tries to exercise him but doesn't do it successfully.

Speaker B:

So ends up having to stab him.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

And there's some of your bitch blood Sammy craving.

Speaker A:

And then he just seems to do pretty good.

Speaker B:

And he was.

Speaker B:

He was not.

Speaker B:

He's told us last episode he was fine.

Speaker B:

Now he's fighting demons.

Speaker B:

There's blood everywhere.

Speaker B:

And now we tell that Sam is not so fine.

Speaker B:

Sam is craving some demon blood.

Speaker A:

Poor Sam.

Speaker B:

Which now by the way, I'm also.

Speaker B:

Nevermind.

Speaker B:

There's a whole other layer to that.

Speaker B:

To this episode especially.

Speaker B:

But I'm just gonna leave that alone.

Speaker B:

We'll come back to that.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Anyways.

Speaker B:

Still doesn't make sense.

Speaker A:

So Dean comes in the door.

Speaker B:

It's different.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And then like Dean comes in the door and he looks at Sam and then he looks at the blood and then he looks at Sam and it's just like get the over Dean.

Speaker A:

And like also.

Speaker A:

And we'll get into this later too I think, but this.

Speaker A:

There's a lot of addiction things that are going on and things that piss me off as people who support people with addictions and people who don't.

Speaker A:

And I Understand, like, you haven't you already had your intervention.

Speaker A:

We're past that now, Dean.

Speaker A:

Like, now you're in support mode.

Speaker A:

You can't just keep like blaming the adage and expecting them to like, not have cravings.

Speaker A:

Like he was sucking down blood for like a year, man.

Speaker A:

He's gonna have cravings.

Speaker A:

Deal with it.

Speaker B:

Well, and then now we've got.

Speaker B:

And then we cut back to the church and everybody's like prepping weapons and trying to do some training.

Speaker B:

And there's a, A veteran who obviously he does a really nice tear down of the ar.

Speaker B:

I was like, nice job, sir.

Speaker B:

Nice job.

Speaker A:

Well, I like that you think that it's a nice tear down because this is my notes.

Speaker A:

He was just like, the guy proceeds to tear it down.

Speaker A:

Now put it back together.

Speaker A:

You cocky?

Speaker A:

Because like when Dean goes, do you know anything about guns?

Speaker A:

And I get it, like, you're stepping up, bro.

Speaker A:

But you could have just said, yes, I was in the army.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

I mean, but also there's something really like when you've put together and taken apart in AR that many times.

Speaker A:

I also meant to ask.

Speaker A:

I meant to ask you something.

Speaker A:

They make you do this.

Speaker A:

Have you done this?

Speaker A:

Like a time breakdown of an AR and put it back together?

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

We would have contests.

Speaker A:

Like, how fast did you get?

Speaker B:

I don't, honestly don't remember.

Speaker B:

I'm not great.

Speaker B:

I can do a really, I'm really good.

Speaker B:

I can take it all apart and put it back together.

Speaker B:

I just, I'm not super fast.

Speaker B:

Plus I have nails now, so.

Speaker A:

But you didn't have nails then.

Speaker A:

Like, was it like a minute?

Speaker A:

Like I was like, what's it?

Speaker B:

I don't remember.

Speaker B:

I really don't remember.

Speaker B:

But I was decent speed at it and.

Speaker B:

But I mean I was, I enjoyed doing it and I like a few years ago somebody was like, I hadn't done it in years.

Speaker B:

I've been out of the military for several years now.

Speaker B:

But for a few years.

Speaker B:

A couple, just like a few.

Speaker B:

A couple years ago somebody was like, what?

Speaker B:

You know how to do that?

Speaker B:

And I was like,.

Speaker A:

I mean, I.

Speaker B:

Part of the army.

Speaker B:

Shocker.

Speaker A:

It is part of the army.

Speaker A:

And if you have guns, you should know.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And I took it up.

Speaker B:

Well, I mean, AR specific.

Speaker B:

Well, technically, okay, to be clear, technically the military doesn't use an AR.

Speaker B:

These then M16 or an M4, which.

Speaker B:

But it's almost identical.

Speaker B:

Just to be clear, for people that are not gun knowledgeable people, Arkansas is the civilian version, which does not have burst or automatic Options which.

Speaker B:

The M4 has burst.

Speaker B:

But that's okay.

Speaker B:

Doesn't have.

Speaker B:

Does not have auto either.

Speaker B:

But yeah.

Speaker B:

So anyway, no, it's kind of.

Speaker B:

It was.

Speaker B:

It's kind of a thing like.

Speaker B:

Because you get like a flow to it in a system and so it's almost like a.

Speaker B:

Like it's.

Speaker B:

It's a very rhythmic thing when you're used to doing it very regularly.

Speaker B:

So that's why I kind of see why he did it and didn't bother me.

Speaker B:

But I thought it was interesting that.

Speaker B:

So the way they, the way they play the characters off that like Dean asks where he served or.

Speaker B:

And sorry, the guy asks Dean where he served.

Speaker B:

And Dean's response is hell.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

He's like, seriously?

Speaker A:

Seriously, Seriously, seriously.

Speaker B:

So.

Speaker A:

But now we have Mopey Sam.

Speaker A:

He's all mopey.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Because he.

Speaker B:

Because he killed two possessed teenagers.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And you should be sad.

Speaker A:

And we don't even deal with that at the end of this episode.

Speaker A:

So whatever.

Speaker A:

You just kill two teenagers.

Speaker B:

Yep.

Speaker B:

So Dean really kind of like Ellen wants to look for Joe and Dean doesn't trust Sam to go out on his own.

Speaker B:

And they do a big stare down.

Speaker B:

And then Ellen and Sam go after all to look for Joe.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Sam does have a very good line.

Speaker A:

That crap doesn't hit the fan with coffee breaks.

Speaker A:

And of anybody who has ever, you know, been in those type of crisis situations where doesn't stop.

Speaker A:

I get you.

Speaker A:

I feel you, Sam.

Speaker A:

But so at this point though, like Sam has just had enough of Dean and good for years.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So they go through, they go to look for Joe and they're.

Speaker B:

They're working their way through town and.

Speaker B:

And Ellen tries to kind of ask what's going on with them.

Speaker B:

And he's just like, oh no, it's the stress of the job.

Speaker B:

Blah.

Speaker B:

And then they see that there's a house with smoke coming from the chimney.

Speaker B:

They go to investigate and they see demons in the window.

Speaker B:

But they're like, but demons don't need fire unless they're burning something.

Speaker B:

So maybe this is a hint.

Speaker B:

And.

Speaker A:

Yeah, but does that also mean the demons can't sweat?

Speaker A:

Like if they don't feel cold, they don't feel heat.

Speaker A:

Yeah, but I mean like so, but like he's saying they don't feel cold, so why they can't feel hot.

Speaker A:

So like that's the best superpower like I could ever think of.

Speaker A:

Like I can just wear this, that like leather jacket all the time and just look awesome and not sweat.

Speaker A:

I'm A demon.

Speaker A:

All right, so how breaks loose?

Speaker B:

Yeah, they get attacked.

Speaker B:

It's.

Speaker B:

Yeah, they're.

Speaker B:

They're gonna attack by him.

Speaker B:

This a man and one man and Joe are now attacking them, but both of their eyes are black.

Speaker B:

So we're like, oh, this guy and Joe are now possessed.

Speaker B:

This is bad.

Speaker B:

But Joe is attacking Ellen with her black demon eyes and yelling at Ellen, give me my mom back, you black eyed bitch.

Speaker A:

And also said, don't move, you evil skank.

Speaker A:

And this is the second time in a week that skank has come back into my life.

Speaker A:

And I think it's a synchronicity.

Speaker A:

And we need to bring skank back.

Speaker A:

So this is the official start.

Speaker A:

The skank is coming back as a word, just so you know.

Speaker A:

All right, so.

Speaker A:

But yeah, it's weird.

Speaker A:

Like, why everybody have, like, us?

Speaker B:

That's real weird.

Speaker B:

And then Sam tells Ellen to run, but then he gets hit in the head.

Speaker B:

And she does, but he gets hit in the head.

Speaker B:

And it's Rufus, and Rufus has black eyes.

Speaker B:

So.

Speaker B:

So now, as you know right now, for all we know, Joe, this random dude, and Rufus are all demons.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

This is also the start of Rufus hitting people in the head, which he does this entire episode.

Speaker A:

We'll point it out every time it happens.

Speaker A:

But even if there is a demon inside of.

Speaker A:

He's bopping them on the head.

Speaker A:

But there's still, like, Sam's brain inside of there.

Speaker A:

Like, we know what happens to football players.

Speaker A:

Like, do hunters, like, have the same thing, like, just getting concussions over and over again?

Speaker A:

They just start losing.

Speaker A:

Like, yeah, Rufus, stop hitting people on the head.

Speaker A:

Anyway, so Sam's gonna wake up tied in a chair.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And Rufus and Joe with their black eyes are calling him an evil son of a.

Speaker B:

And throwing holy water on him.

Speaker B:

And they want to start pouring salt down his throat, which is bad.

Speaker A:

It's a lot of salt.

Speaker A:

I also wonder, like, I didn't see in the notes what they used, because that can't.

Speaker A:

Like, as an actor.

Speaker A:

Like, that can't be pleasant to have, like, that much salt poured down your.

Speaker A:

Even if it's sugar, that's still a lot of, like.

Speaker A:

I don't know how you make that happen without it being awful.

Speaker B:

I don't think you can.

Speaker B:

It's gonna be awful.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Back.

Speaker B:

Back at the church, Ellen returns by herself, and Dean wants to know where Sam is.

Speaker B:

And then when she just shakes her head, the pregnant lady starts freaking out about, what if the demons are here?

Speaker B:

And the priest just asks if that's even Possible.

Speaker B:

So Dean starts to storm out in true Dean fashion.

Speaker B:

But then he pauses, said he needs a plan.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

And they show the door.

Speaker A:

Is that a bingo card?

Speaker A:

Like the paper if it's hanging in the door.

Speaker A:

And they immediately.

Speaker A:

It like covers up the people.

Speaker A:

Is it a bingo card?

Speaker B:

Oh, I think it was good to.

Speaker A:

Use the church resources.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Good.

Speaker A:

Good plan, guys.

Speaker B:

So back in the the demon house, Sam is desperately trying to get Joe and Rufus to stop shoving so salt down his throat.

Speaker B:

And they're just really confused.

Speaker B:

And we see a man in the doorway.

Speaker B:

And this man we saw briefly in the church basement earlier.

Speaker B:

Kind of just kind of a quiet character.

Speaker B:

But he was there briefly.

Speaker B:

But now he's in the hallway at the demon house.

Speaker B:

And he looks.

Speaker B:

Makes eye contact with Sam and twists a ring on his finger and.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Which is never a great sign.

Speaker B:

And so Sam looks up and sees a devil's trap on the ceiling.

Speaker B:

And they're.

Speaker B:

Joe and Rufus are just completely confused.

Speaker B:

They don't understand what's happening or why.

Speaker B:

Now though, we turn and get their view of Sam.

Speaker B:

And we see that they see Sam with black eyes.

Speaker B:

Mm.

Speaker B:

Oh, shit.

Speaker B:

So now we know that something is a mission.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

We do something.

Speaker A:

We knew something was amazed.

Speaker A:

Now it's a miss more so amiss.

Speaker B:

It's not just like a.

Speaker B:

It's a Ms. Amiss.

Speaker B:

It's not just a. Oh, they've got a demon infestation.

Speaker B:

There's something weird going on.

Speaker B:

So back in the church, we got Ellen and Dean there talking.

Speaker B:

And she's like, you know, she.

Speaker B:

There's a demon in Joe.

Speaker B:

But it's real weird because the demon in Joe called me a black eyed.

Speaker B:

But we need to figure out how to get this out of Joe without killing her.

Speaker B:

And they're really confused why salt and holy water didn't work from their side either.

Speaker B:

And that Joe had an anti possession spell or amulet.

Speaker B:

So she shouldn't have been able to be possessed anyways.

Speaker B:

Dean's like.

Speaker B:

Dean's like, yeah, no, something's real off.

Speaker B:

But my instinct, first instinct is to call Bobby or Sam.

Speaker A:

But I also love that she asked him, like, what's your instinct?

Speaker A:

And I think that's a really good question.

Speaker A:

Like, and also just kind of in the middle of a crisis to have like someone who manages crisis for a living as Diana does.

Speaker A:

Like, it's really nice to have someone be like, okay, stop.

Speaker A:

We don't know what's going on.

Speaker A:

What's your gut?

Speaker A:

And I just think, yeah, damn.

Speaker A:

Like Ellen, like, you're badass.

Speaker A:

I love her so much.

Speaker A:

And so then like, Dean just starts breaking it down.

Speaker A:

And I was like, all right, wait, why was Rufus in town?

Speaker A:

Like, why was he here in the first place?

Speaker B:

And he was there because the.

Speaker B:

He was looking into an omen regarding water is all they know.

Speaker B:

But they asked the priest and they're like, yeah, like just like a week ago, out of nowhere, the river just ran with pollution real hard all of a sudden.

Speaker B:

That was a week ago.

Speaker B:

And then demons were here the next day.

Speaker A:

Maybe they got some tentail lizards.

Speaker B:

Maybe they did.

Speaker B:

And then our Fallujah veteran whose name.

Speaker B:

The character's name is Austin, actually.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

At this point I just started calling him Tactical Austin.

Speaker A:

Well, because first I was calling him Tactical Guy and then I was calling him Austin.

Speaker A:

And then I just started calling him Tactical Austin or TA for short.

Speaker B:

I just called him fat.

Speaker B:

But he, he mentions, by the way, it might not be anything, but there's also a giant shooting star that night.

Speaker B:

And so Dean grabs the Bible.

Speaker A:

Because it's not.

Speaker B:

Dean doesn't typically do.

Speaker A:

Yeah, but he's in research mode.

Speaker A:

Like, yeah, smart move.

Speaker A:

Like.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

Like, I know this.

Speaker A:

I know this is something.

Speaker B:

I know the answer.

Speaker B:

So he turned flips through the Bible to Revelations.

Speaker B:

And I'll read the whole.

Speaker B:

The two verses.

Speaker B:

Well, most of the two verses.

Speaker B:

It's Revelations 8, 10 through 11.

Speaker B:

It's a great star blazing like a torch fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.

Speaker B:

The name of the star is White Wormwood.

Speaker A:

Weird, because that's not what he said in the show.

Speaker B:

I know.

Speaker A:

Which is also.

Speaker A:

But that's also like there's.

Speaker A:

This is.

Speaker B:

Hey, there's 8 million versions of the Bible anyways.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Of that.

Speaker A:

Yeah, that's a thing.

Speaker B:

But basically the Revelations does describe a star falling something.

Speaker B:

And then the water affecting water.

Speaker B:

And then the star is called Wormwood.

Speaker B:

That's.

Speaker B:

That's what the.

Speaker B:

The Bible quote says.

Speaker A:

And if you don't.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

And there's a lot of things for wormwood, which is also probably goes.

Speaker A:

It goes into satanic things and other stuff.

Speaker A:

But also that is how we get absinthe.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

Yay, Wormwood.

Speaker A:

But that the reverend asked.

Speaker A:

Or the priest, I guess he's a priest.

Speaker B:

Sorry.

Speaker A:

He asked in the best voice ever.

Speaker A:

Like, are you saying this is about the Apocalypse?

Speaker B:

Yeah, he's like, wait, what?

Speaker A:

He's so great.

Speaker A:

Like just his.

Speaker A:

Like just that, like.

Speaker A:

And also just imagine being like a holy person who you like always like I think this is real.

Speaker A:

And then someone's like, what?

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

No, no, the apocalypse is here.

Speaker B:

My what?

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And then Dean makes a reference to the four horsemen and says, which one rides a red horse?

Speaker B:

And how I'm surprised, disappointed, he didn't do this, and the answer is War.

Speaker B:

And he mentions the cherry mustang and how that's how he'd roll if he was for the four horsemen.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, that.

Speaker A:

Honestly, I hate.

Speaker A:

I don't like those mustangs, but whatever.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

But, oh, like, then he realizes, like, we've been gas lit.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

This is war.

Speaker B:

This isn't.

Speaker B:

This isn't a demonic possession situation.

Speaker B:

So Sam's still tied up.

Speaker B:

And we cut back to there, where that house.

Speaker B:

And the man that was in the hallway touching his ring enters.

Speaker B:

And Sam asks who he is.

Speaker B:

Well, Roger is.

Speaker B:

That's the name of the body.

Speaker B:

But Sam's like, well, who are you really?

Speaker B:

He's like, roger, AKA War, says, hint.

Speaker B:

I was in Germany.

Speaker B:

Germany, The Middle East.

Speaker B:

I was in Darfur waiting to hook up with siblings.

Speaker B:

I've got three.

Speaker B:

It's pretty funny.

Speaker A:

Yeah, it's funny, but it's also like, douchebag.

Speaker A:

I hate people who answer questions in a riddle.

Speaker A:

Like, just tell me who the you are.

Speaker A:

You could have just said, hey, I am one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

Speaker A:

My name is War.

Speaker A:

It's nice to meet you.

Speaker A:

And said, oh, I'm just going to like.

Speaker A:

But I also love how this actor, like, he did such a great job of.

Speaker B:

Very cocky.

Speaker A:

Well, of switching between his characters.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

So, like, his Roger character is like, at the first, like, if you did.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

If he didn't know what was happening, like, you would just assume, like, oh, that's just like kind of a loser guy.

Speaker A:

Like, whatever.

Speaker A:

And then like, he's like, oh.

Speaker A:

Then he's like this sexy, like, horseman.

Speaker A:

And he's just like, yeah, I run the apocalypse.

Speaker A:

I make worse happen.

Speaker B:

Sexy.

Speaker B:

Sexy war.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Sexy war.

Speaker A:

I'm worth.

Speaker B:

All right, so this has been.

Speaker B:

Sam figures it out.

Speaker B:

So now we've got both of our brothers figuring out what the.

Speaker B:

Going on separately, which is good.

Speaker B:

He's like, all right, it's not demons.

Speaker B:

You just took out the bridge and made everybody hallucinate and sit back and that's it.

Speaker B:

And.

Speaker B:

And he's.

Speaker B:

And War is like, no, you know, people are vicious.

Speaker B:

You know, this is.

Speaker B:

You know, last week it was Mayberry, and this week they're stabbing each other's kids.

Speaker B:

And he gets that.

Speaker B:

Roger, you know, is like, yeah, you Think I'm a monster.

Speaker B:

I just put jello.

Speaker B:

I just put out.

Speaker B:

I'm just.

Speaker B:

Excuse me.

Speaker B:

I'm just jello shots at a party.

Speaker B:

I remove inhibitions.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

And then he also pokes fun of the Irish.

Speaker A:

Like, you've seen the Irish.

Speaker A:

They're all Irish.

Speaker A:

And yes, I love you guys, but, yeah, you just fight each other because.

Speaker A:

Yeah, but, you know, it's a very, like, it is a very crypt.

Speaker A:

Key point.

Speaker A:

And I know Sarah is pulling it.

Speaker A:

You'll point in.

Speaker A:

But it's this idea that all of this idea of other forces causing things to happen are just people being stupid.

Speaker A:

And that's pretty much just like, yeah, y' all are just stupid.

Speaker A:

All I did was get you drunk a little bit, and next thing you know, like, you're guilty.

Speaker B:

You made your own choices.

Speaker B:

You made your own choices.

Speaker A:

You made that choice.

Speaker A:

Like, and then, like, oh.

Speaker A:

And then just like, oh, it gets bad.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

But he just starts what he's saying about Sam.

Speaker B:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker B:

He gets into him on being his poster boy for obsessing over the demon blood and that it's all about.

Speaker B:

All it was about all along was lust and power.

Speaker B:

You just wanted to be stronger than everyone.

Speaker B:

But you had good and you had good intentions, but that's how the slide to hell.

Speaker A:

That's heavy.

Speaker A:

Like, it's a super heavy, like, moral.

Speaker A:

And, you know, this goes back to, you know, hold, like, you know, heroes of a thousand faces and all that other.

Speaker A:

But really that Sam's downfall is that he had too much pride and that he wanted to be the strongest.

Speaker A:

He wanted me the best, and he wanted to be the hero.

Speaker A:

And that's his problem.

Speaker B:

And.

Speaker A:

But really, like, you know, and this is.

Speaker A:

I think, as we start seeing this metaphor of sans blood with, like, other addictions, like, this is kind of like, I think it's starting to really get into Sam's head.

Speaker A:

Like, oh, this is bad.

Speaker A:

Oh, oh.

Speaker A:

Like, maybe I wasn't getting high on demon blood because I liked getting high on demon blood.

Speaker A:

What you do you.

Speaker A:

Because it's fun, but it's also, like, I had other.

Speaker A:

That I was like, that was causing this.

Speaker B:

It's pretty deep, for sure.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker B:

Then we get Roger twists his ring and says, showtime for the meat suits and falls and, like, falls down.

Speaker B:

Like, his head hurts and.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

And Rufus and Joe run in, and Roger.

Speaker A:

And he also makes, like, blood just coming out of his head, which is a great party trick.

Speaker A:

That's.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And so Roger has a wound and blame Sam claims that Sam's Told him that the demons were coming.

Speaker B:

And all they're seeing, all Rufus and Joe are seeing, is Sam with black eyes.

Speaker B:

So now they're, like, freaking out.

Speaker B:

And so Rufus knocks the.

Speaker B:

Out of Sam.

Speaker A:

He hits him on the head again with his shotgun.

Speaker A:

There's a brain in there.

Speaker A:

There's a brain.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Damn right.

Speaker B:

Back at the church, though, that's our.

Speaker B:

Our vet is vet.

Speaker B:

Tactical Austin.

Speaker B:

Whatever.

Speaker B:

Tactical Austin is very skeptical of what Dean has explained is actually going on.

Speaker B:

He doesn't really buy it fair.

Speaker A:

I mean, because you're just like.

Speaker A:

You're like.

Speaker A:

Wait a minute.

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

You just, like, spent all this time convincing me they were demons, and now.

Speaker B:

Right, and now you're wrong.

Speaker B:

No, no.

Speaker B:

Demons are real.

Speaker B:

These just aren't them.

Speaker A:

Yeah, but I'm not these guys.

Speaker A:

So this is something else that I would probably.

Speaker A:

I would also be like you.

Speaker A:

I'm getting my own now.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So.

Speaker B:

But then there's a knock at the door, and it's Roger, quote unquote.

Speaker B:

It's war.

Speaker B:

But they don't know him.

Speaker B:

They just know him as Roger, which I think is interesting that no one noticed he, like, ran out, but that's a whole thing.

Speaker B:

Anyways, they just let him on back in and he tells them that the demons know that they're trying to leave and they planned.

Speaker B:

The demons are going to pick them off one by one.

Speaker B:

Damon's like, well, tell me details.

Speaker B:

How do you know this?

Speaker B:

And our Tactical Austin tends to believe Roger.

Speaker B:

And it's like, nope, no, we need to arm up.

Speaker B:

That's.

Speaker B:

That's all there is to it.

Speaker B:

Roger winks at Dean, touches his ring.

Speaker B:

And now all of a sudden, all they.

Speaker B:

Everybody else in the room sees that Dean.

Speaker B:

Dean and Ellen's eyes are black.

Speaker B:

My note literally says.

Speaker B:

Oh, son of a. Yeah.

Speaker B:

Yep.

Speaker A:

So they're demons and they run.

Speaker A:

Side note, on this, at least this episode, they didn't all have to wear black contacts.

Speaker A:

This was all done through editing.

Speaker A:

So at least, like, everyone could see what they were doing.

Speaker A:

So that's all good.

Speaker A:

So they're at least not running blind.

Speaker A:

But then, like, war and Tactical Austin like, have this conversation.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

And you're just pushing those buttons.

Speaker A:

Just pushing them.

Speaker B:

Yeah, basically, like.

Speaker B:

Well, they could have been demons all along.

Speaker B:

We need to go knives in the.

Speaker B:

And, you know, I need to go get the knives out of the kitchen.

Speaker B:

We just really need to.

Speaker B:

You know, this salt water.

Speaker B:

Holy.

Speaker B:

The salt and holy water crap is.

Speaker B:

We just need to go with what we know.

Speaker A:

And so it's.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

This whole situation is just.

Speaker A:

It's like, wow, you're manipulating somebody who is easily manipulated.

Speaker A:

And so there is.

Speaker A:

It's just like, damn it.

Speaker A:

Tactical Austin.

Speaker A:

Damn it.

Speaker A:

So war is just very happy.

Speaker A:

But at the house, Rufus is just like, I'm gonna make a pipe bomb.

Speaker A:

That's what I'm doing.

Speaker B:

And he's like, well, it won't kill demons, but they come at you slower without limbs.

Speaker B:

And Joe's like, yeah, that with.

Speaker B:

My mom's a demon right now.

Speaker B:

Like, thanks for the sensitivity, bruh.

Speaker A:

Yep, yep.

Speaker A:

And then he worked on that.

Speaker B:

I've been saying bra, like, joking like that.

Speaker B:

And.

Speaker A:

Yeah, do you want me to cut it?

Speaker A:

I can edit it.

Speaker A:

I can edit it out or just make it happen more.

Speaker A:

So but like, Joe, when she says that, and he is just like, listen to me.

Speaker A:

Like, I'm gonna do everything.

Speaker A:

Like, your mom's gonna be okay.

Speaker A:

And then she's just fine with, like, him.

Speaker A:

Like, she gives him more.

Speaker A:

More bombs.

Speaker A:

They're like, no, no matter.

Speaker A:

Like, yeah, it's still your mom.

Speaker A:

The same thing with like, Stam, like, just stabbing teenagers.

Speaker A:

Like they are people who are possessed.

Speaker A:

Like, they are not like actual, like, full on monsters.

Speaker A:

They.

Speaker A:

That's your mom.

Speaker A:

What the.

Speaker A:

Joe, what the.

Speaker B:

This is so.

Speaker B:

Yeah, well, we cut and we see the.

Speaker B:

Our.

Speaker B:

Our Tactical Austin starting to lead people out of the church because his plan is to slowly try to sneak them out of town fully armed.

Speaker B:

Now is what we think his plan is.

Speaker A:

But is it?

Speaker B:

We cut back to that's what we thought the plan was.

Speaker B:

But I think Roger may have influenced that plan perhaps.

Speaker B:

So Rufus and Joe are loading weapons and then the gun.

Speaker B:

And then one of the bombs explodes.

Speaker B:

And so they have to go investigate.

Speaker B:

And smartly it was Dean and Ellen intentionally set off the trigger so that they could lure Rufus and Joe out and explain to them what the fuck was actually going on.

Speaker B:

But all of them, everybody thinks the other is a demon.

Speaker B:

It's a, like, train wreck.

Speaker B:

They all fight a lot and, well, they don't.

Speaker A:

Like, no, Dean and Ellen know, like, they're not demons.

Speaker A:

Right, well, and then like, yeah, and Dean's just trying to explain to Rufus he was just being old man stubborn and it just takes him a while.

Speaker A:

And like, including some great lines where Dean's like, it's war.

Speaker A:

And Rufus is like, damn right it is.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker B:

It is.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah, no, I had that written down too.

Speaker B:

Yeah, it was pretty funny.

Speaker B:

But then finally Rufus relents.

Speaker B:

And then we see that our tactical Austin Is attempting to somewhat tactically lead the people from the church across town.

Speaker B:

Somewhat.

Speaker B:

What's.

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker B:

I said he's not.

Speaker A:

He's not on my apocalypse team.

Speaker A:

He's off like.

Speaker A:

No, no, you're on your own, bra.

Speaker A:

See, that's with the bro, bruh.

Speaker B:

Back at the.

Speaker B:

Back at our good old demon house, quote unquote.

Speaker B:

Which isn't base camp or whatever.

Speaker B:

Yeah, base camp.

Speaker B:

Whatever we want to call it.

Speaker B:

We've got Dean saying.

Speaker B:

All right, well, tell them the team now we've got Dean, Rufus, Ellen and Joe all together.

Speaker B:

He's like, hey, we've got to find war.

Speaker B:

Oh, but guess who's firing on them.

Speaker B:

Because tactical Austin decided that they need to go attack this house that he's convinced is full of demons.

Speaker B:

And when really it's not.

Speaker B:

And he decides to start shooting at the house.

Speaker B:

God damn it.

Speaker B:

And that of course triggers for their defense.

Speaker B:

Shooters in the house, which there are a couple of.

Speaker B:

To start shooting back.

Speaker B:

Which sucks because now we've got a bunch of people that think the other person's evil shooting at each other.

Speaker B:

Dean has to go rescue Sam.

Speaker B:

And Sam's figured out by now too.

Speaker B:

But.

Speaker B:

But they're basically.

Speaker B:

Their whole thing is they need to get the ring from war.

Speaker B:

That.

Speaker B:

That's their focus.

Speaker B:

So.

Speaker B:

Got the house getting surrounded by the townspeople.

Speaker B:

They're all taking shots at each other.

Speaker B:

Rufus is trying to make his people stop shooting back to stop killing their innocent neighbors who just think that they're all each.

Speaker B:

Anyways.

Speaker B:

It's just.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

He does make we get at least a weapon reference when he gets.

Speaker A:

You know, there is.

Speaker A:

I get.

Speaker A:

I'm getting too old for this line.

Speaker A:

And then the guy who is shooting a priest.

Speaker A:

No way.

Speaker A:

Not the one who's shooting the priest.

Speaker A:

But there's another guy who won't stop shooting.

Speaker A:

And Rufus hits him in the head with a gun.

Speaker B:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker A:

Stop it.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Stop it.

Speaker B:

Yeah, the.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

The young guy that he had rescued earlier in the.

Speaker B:

In the show.

Speaker B:

The very like when the first time we saw Rufus in.

Speaker B:

He had dragged this kid away with a tourniquet on his leg.

Speaker B:

That kid just keeps shooting.

Speaker B:

And he shoots the priest.

Speaker B:

Priest.

Speaker B:

And woman tries to.

Speaker B:

And the priest is injured pretty badly.

Speaker B:

A woman's trying to help him.

Speaker B:

Ellen even goes to help because she's.

Speaker B:

She's like.

Speaker B:

And she's telling the woman, I'm not what you think I am.

Speaker B:

And she's trying to save the priest from bleeding out.

Speaker B:

And Rufus snatches the kid's gun away right at that Time for not stopping firing.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

But at the same time.

Speaker B:

Oh my gosh.

Speaker B:

Tactical Austin walks up on Ellen, who's trying to help the priest.

Speaker B:

And he shoves his AR barrel in her face.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And pulls the trigger at jams like ARs do, by the way.

Speaker A:

Like fair.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Not.

Speaker A:

Not in somebody's face.

Speaker A:

Not in somebody's face.

Speaker B:

No, no, no, no.

Speaker B:

Typically, look, that's why you buy an ak.

Speaker B:

Because they don't do that.

Speaker B:

They don't have to.

Speaker B:

They have shitty aim, but they don't do that so much.

Speaker A:

Yeah, okay.

Speaker B:

Not as much.

Speaker B:

Yeah, but that's okay.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

But Ellen is a badass.

Speaker A:

And she is like, oh, and thank you for having this long gun in my face.

Speaker A:

Which is.

Speaker B:

Yeah, click.

Speaker B:

And she grabs it and freaking like, oh my God.

Speaker B:

It's crazy.

Speaker A:

Yeah, she's a badass.

Speaker A:

But then like he just is like at this point I'm like, is this PTSD triggering worse something now he really wants to stop.

Speaker A:

He gone like he is.

Speaker A:

He is not in a good place.

Speaker A:

He just.

Speaker A:

Tactical Austin, you shouldn't have weapons.

Speaker B:

But War thinks he's in a good place.

Speaker B:

e's going to stroll up to his:

Speaker B:

But guess who's watching for him?

Speaker A:

It is Sam and Dean.

Speaker B:

Yeah, Sam.

Speaker B:

Sam pulls the demon knife on him and Roger's like, you can't kill War.

Speaker B:

And they're like, yeah, we know.

Speaker B:

So what do they do?

Speaker A:

They cut off his finger.

Speaker A:

Which is really funny because.

Speaker A:

No, he.

Speaker A:

No, just.

Speaker A:

Well, I guess fingers.

Speaker A:

But they're really just getting the finger with the ring.

Speaker A:

Yeah, but which is also interesting is that this was actually like a show car.

Speaker A:

So they couldn't get blood on the car.

Speaker A:

So that's why the finger is not cut off on the car.

Speaker A:

Because it was too expensive and they didn't want to.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I'm sure.

Speaker A:

Of like diet.

Speaker A:

Like you brought Duchess out.

Speaker A:

Like I'm just gonna slice his finger over it.

Speaker A:

That's cool, right?

Speaker B:

I mean, is it for a cool shot?

Speaker B:

Yeah, because I should watch.

Speaker A:

It's just like.

Speaker A:

You're like, yeah, I'd be fine with that.

Speaker A:

I. I follow the Sex Pistols around.

Speaker A:

It's cool.

Speaker A:

But.

Speaker B:

Just saying.

Speaker B:

Just saying.

Speaker B:

So as they cut.

Speaker B:

As soon as they cut the fingers off, the hallucination ends for everybody.

Speaker B:

So our good old Tactical Austin stops trying to kill Ellen and all of them kind of pause because they're looking around and realizing what the they've all been doing to each other.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

They flash to the kid upstairs and he's like, you just see, like, oh, this is so expensive.

Speaker A:

So much therapy is coming out of this.

Speaker B:

So much therapy.

Speaker B:

And all of a sudden, though, Dean and Sam are still like in the alley where the car was.

Speaker B:

But now the car and war are all just like, poofed.

Speaker B:

Like poofed totally.

Speaker B:

Just.

Speaker A:

They're gone.

Speaker A:

But the ring is there.

Speaker B:

Right?

Speaker B:

And then we cut to our good brothers at.

Speaker B:

At a park bench.

Speaker B:

Like, at like a.

Speaker B:

Like on a, like, hanging out picnic.

Speaker A:

Bench outside of a lake bench.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

It's kind of like a weird, like, lack of wrap up, by the way.

Speaker B:

It's like, cool.

Speaker B:

That was real up.

Speaker B:

Everybody's dealing with this deep up.

Speaker A:

What happens to Joe and Ellen and Rufus?

Speaker A:

Like, they're just gone now.

Speaker A:

I guess, like, we miss those awkward goodby go back to what they do.

Speaker B:

Yeah, okay.

Speaker B:

But Sam.

Speaker B:

Sam acknowledges that he knows that Dean doesn't trust him.

Speaker B:

And this is like.

Speaker B:

I'll get to why this episode asks me, but that this is not really this.

Speaker B:

This is not the reason, shockingly.

Speaker B:

But he's basically.

Speaker B:

He knows that Dean doesn't trust him and that honestly, he didn't really trust himself.

Speaker B:

Even though he had good intentions.

Speaker B:

He up.

Speaker B:

The problem isn't really the blood.

Speaker B:

It's just how far I'm willing to go to be whatever.

Speaker B:

And that Sam decides that he needs to take a step back from hunting.

Speaker B:

And so maybe they should go.

Speaker A:

There's a mental health time.

Speaker A:

Totally reasonable, man.

Speaker A:

Like, you've been through a lot.

Speaker A:

Like, yeah, you should take a break and think.

Speaker A:

But Dean is just like, you're right.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

And at least I'm like, yeah, he's emotionally mature enough to say, like, I expected you to give me a fight.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

Because I would just be.

Speaker A:

I.

Speaker A:

As probably as me.

Speaker A:

Like, I would say as a woman.

Speaker A:

But I'm sure other women are much better with dealing their feelings than I am.

Speaker A:

Because I would just.

Speaker A:

I would swallow that up and be like, okay.

Speaker A:

And just walk off.

Speaker A:

Like, I would not have said I expected a fight.

Speaker A:

I would have just been like, fine, whatever, and then just leave.

Speaker A:

But Dean actually says, I think you're right, and I'm spending too much time worrying about you and it's interfering with my job.

Speaker A:

Oh, you man.

Speaker A:

Oh, go yourself, Dean.

Speaker B:

Like, and then he offers the Impala.

Speaker B:

What?

Speaker B:

I don't think he meant it.

Speaker A:

That's a guilt trip.

Speaker A:

That's just like.

Speaker A:

Well, I mean, I guess I can give my brother the same car and that'll make like, be better with me.

Speaker A:

Abandoning him while he's going through this whole, like, life crisis about who I am.

Speaker A:

And then he watches Sam hitch a ride and leave.

Speaker A:

And then he just watches like a serial killer.

Speaker A:

Like Sam just gets into a car with a camper on it.

Speaker A:

And, like, we know what happens in trucks with campers.

Speaker A:

I watch that Dateline.

Speaker A:

I know what Sam.

Speaker A:

This is the start.

Speaker A:

Sam's Dateline episode.

Speaker A:

He's off.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

Or he becomes a serial killer with that guy.

Speaker A:

And this is like a partner thing.

Speaker A:

And they pick up people on the way, whatever.

Speaker A:

But someone's getting murdered.

Speaker A:

That's what happens in that car, in that truck.

Speaker B:

And then you can sleep in it, too.

Speaker A:

Well, you're with the corpse.

Speaker A:

With Sam's.

Speaker B:

So let me get my casting notes.

Speaker B:

So we'll do casting call from this episode.

Speaker B:

Just a couple of notes.

Speaker B:

We got one big one, as we both know, And I'll tell you how I feel about this one.

Speaker B:

So first we'll start with our.

Speaker B:

Our Tactical Austin, AKA the veteran, played by Sean Roberts.

Speaker B:

Just a couple of notes.

Speaker B:

He was Rogue's boyfriend in X Men, and he was Wester in the Resident Evil series.

Speaker B:

Then we also.

Speaker B:

I'm gonna always save the biggest one for last.

Speaker B:

We also have our pastor, played by Michael Bean.

Speaker B:

He's actually been in multiple.

Speaker B:

We'll see him again in Supernatural.

Speaker B:

And he was also played.

Speaker B:

Also played the priest in the movie Jennifer's Body.

Speaker B:

And then Roger, AKA War, played by Titus Welliver.

Speaker B:

He was Dino in the Town as well as Bates in Argo, both of which are Ben Affleck films.

Speaker B:

Interesting.

Speaker B:

He's also in a.

Speaker B:

It's an Amazon prime show called Bosh.

Speaker B:

He plays Bosch.

Speaker B:

It's a series.

Speaker B:

So he's the namesake of that pretty big series.

Speaker A:

He's like, probably, what, Emmys and shit, I think.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

He's Agent Vietti in Shaft, the recent Shaft movie.

Speaker B:

Jimmy o' Phelan in.

Speaker A:

Wait, what was the recent Shaft movie?

Speaker A:

When was the last Shaft movie?

Speaker B:

It was just a couple years ago.

Speaker B:

A few years ago.

Speaker A:

Was it?

Speaker B:

Or was it, like, longer ago now?

Speaker A:

Well, I don't know.

Speaker B:

1970S one.

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker B:

It was not the 19.

Speaker B:

I didn't write down the year.

Speaker B:

I knew it was in the last few years.

Speaker B:

Okay, but few years anymore.

Speaker B:

Could be the last decade for all I know.

Speaker B:

My frame of reference is so fun.

Speaker A:

Is it real?

Speaker B:

Yep.

Speaker B:

2019.

Speaker B:

Boom.

Speaker A:

Oh, wow.

Speaker A:

That movie must not have done well.

Speaker A:

I do not remember that movie coming out at all.

Speaker B:

ell, but then, I mean, it was:

Speaker A:

It was:

Speaker B:

So it was right before the.

Speaker B:

Right before the world went to.

Speaker B:

So we've got the.

Speaker B:

Some other interesting notes about Ty's Welliver.

Speaker B:

So he also played, quote, the man in black who was transformed into the apparently evil smoke monster on Lost, coincidentally, who was also killed by his.

Speaker B:

The character of his brother, played by Mark Pellegrino, who we met in the last episode, who is going to be Lucifer.

Speaker A:

Small, small world.

Speaker A:

Wait, there's more.

Speaker B:

There's more.

Speaker B:

And he had a reoccurring role in Deadwood as Silas Adams.

Speaker B:

And Jim Beaver was also in Deadwood.

Speaker A:

As Ellsworth, which is amazing because they always forget that Jim Beaver was in Deadwood.

Speaker A:

And to be fair, it has been a while since I watched it.

Speaker A:

And I always mean to go back because I love most of the actors in it, but, yeah, I forget that Jim Beaver was in that.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker B:

So I'm gonna give you my quick rundown of why I don't like this episode, but.

Speaker B:

Well, I find this episode upsetting.

Speaker B:

I guess it's a better way to say, number one, like, when it's, like, this much of, like, fooling each other and we know and they don't.

Speaker B:

It's just very frustrating, which is not necessarily, like.

Speaker B:

It doesn't make me, like, actively dislike it, just as a. I think that's what they want to evoke.

Speaker B:

They want us to be frustrated.

Speaker A:

Like, no, my God, figure it out.

Speaker B:

But it's frustrating.

Speaker A:

Well, so when did you figure it out?

Speaker B:

Well, I kind of.

Speaker B:

When she.

Speaker B:

When Joe said something to Ellen.

Speaker B:

When she said, like, they get out of my mom.

Speaker B:

Be a Black Eyed.

Speaker A:

Okay, so you figured out when Joe and Ellen met each other and there was the two black guys.

Speaker B:

Yeah, that's what I figured out.

Speaker B:

So I was like, son of a.

Speaker B:

And that was frustrating.

Speaker B:

But.

Speaker B:

But then you're like, God damn it.

Speaker B:

Well, this is frustrating.

Speaker B:

And then.

Speaker B:

And then you feel like it's an unbeatable bad guy in war because he's able to do this to them, which is also frustrating.

Speaker B:

And look, I mean, obviously they found a way to get around it, but that was frustrating.

Speaker B:

And so you've got the combination, though, of what feels like an unbeatable, unwinnable situation.

Speaker B:

And arguably, it was an unwinnable situation.

Speaker B:

Nobody wants.

Speaker B:

All these people are traumatized and fucked with, and that doesn't really even get addressed.

Speaker B:

Like, unlike one, like, oh, he showed a silhouette of a sad kid.

Speaker B:

Okay, now we're gonna move on to our boys.

Speaker B:

Trauma that they can't fucking reconcile.

Speaker B:

Like, we Just ignore this, like, level of fucked.

Speaker B:

Like, I. I don't know.

Speaker B:

And, like, kids getting fucking murdered and no one's talking about this.

Speaker B:

Like, this is really, like, really goddamn dark.

Speaker B:

That really bothers me.

Speaker B:

It also was like, a major, like.

Speaker B:

It also kind of, like, reminded me of, like, what people do to each other today.

Speaker B:

Not only in society, but also in warfare specifically, too, where we dehumanize our enemy.

Speaker B:

And so even if the person across from us is a human being and we see that they're a human being, if there's something that we perceive or feel forced to think that there's something different about them or forced to think they're our enemy, it's very easy to dehumanize them anyways.

Speaker B:

It's a full.

Speaker B:

It's a theory of war.

Speaker B:

But it also, like, kind of applied here.

Speaker B:

I felt like, because they were able to dehumanize the person, their neighbors, by.

Speaker A:

What I mean, but that is kind of the chaos.

Speaker B:

Well, I know, but it's just upsetting.

Speaker A:

Well, it's also.

Speaker A:

It's.

Speaker A:

I mean, in terms of storytelling, and I'm not saying, you know, supernatural is a morality play, but it's like, yeah, this is pointing out the human existence and humans suck.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker B:

I just felt like it was.

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker B:

I. I just.

Speaker B:

I didn't.

Speaker B:

I didn't like the way it made me feel.

Speaker B:

Liz.

Speaker B:

And then.

Speaker A:

Because it gave you feels.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And you don't, like, feel, so these fields are for suckers.

Speaker B:

Right?

Speaker B:

I can handle feels, but these are.

Speaker B:

These are.

Speaker B:

This was icky feels.

Speaker B:

And then.

Speaker A:

But they're make you think feels, and I think they're important to have.

Speaker A:

Like, you should, you know, especially you talk about, like, this day and age and dehumanization of.

Speaker A:

You know, we live in the age where.

Speaker B:

We live behind a keyboard.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

People live behind a keyboard.

Speaker B:

We are not.

Speaker B:

But I mean, say anything you want, because it's not.

Speaker A:

I see that words.

Speaker A:

I see that.

Speaker A:

And not even just typed words.

Speaker A:

Like, I see, you know, people being actually hurt from what.

Speaker A:

And you also, I'm sure, saw this in military, too.

Speaker A:

Like, you know, I see people being hurt by, like, physically hurt or mentally hurt by what happens behind a keyboard.

Speaker A:

You know, I see hospitals getting shut down, and I see all sorts of things that happen in the world as a result of dehumanization or just because it's easier to do that if you're not seeing the consequences.

Speaker A:

So, I mean, I like this episode because of that.

Speaker A:

I get it made you uncomfortable.

Speaker A:

But I also.

Speaker B:

Like, no, but I don't.

Speaker B:

I just.

Speaker B:

I just don't think it did it in a way that it didn't have the emotional payoff to actually drive the message home.

Speaker B:

So I think that it lost it.

Speaker B:

And that's what I think about it.

Speaker B:

I think if you're going to have this as your message about dehumanization and humanity and all of that, I think you just made a up, emotional storyline with no resolution instead of having a, like, hey, we could have made this like, actually a meaningful.

Speaker B:

And I think they dropped the ball.

Speaker B:

That's my opinion.

Speaker A:

Forceful.

Speaker B:

But I did like, but Roger.

Speaker B:

But Roger.

Speaker B:

AK War is a badass, by the way.

Speaker B:

I won't lie.

Speaker A:

No, no.

Speaker A:

He is a fantastic.

Speaker A:

To be clear, he is sexy as.

Speaker A:

I don't want to him in that car because I don't.

Speaker A:

I hate.

Speaker A:

I really don't like those Mustangs.

Speaker A:

I really don't like them.

Speaker A:

There's some Mustangs I like and I have, like, I am.

Speaker A:

I have had a Mustang.

Speaker A:

But yeah, I don't.

Speaker A:

And there's some.

Speaker A:

Some Mustangs I love, but those particular ones that they just rank up with 57bel airs with my.

Speaker A:

It's like I just see too many of them.

Speaker A:

I don't like them.

Speaker A:

But I mean, as.

Speaker A:

There's a point.

Speaker A:

I'm sorry, I got sidetracked by cars.

Speaker A:

I was like, but the car, like, it had the beige, beige interior in that car.

Speaker A:

Like, like, why did you put beige leather in a red car?

Speaker A:

Like, I get it.

Speaker A:

Like, it's.

Speaker A:

It's so boring.

Speaker B:

Why?

Speaker A:

Like, oh, God, that car is so boring.

Speaker B:

So boring that the car is like basic classic car.

Speaker A:

You're basic.

Speaker B:

You're basic.

Speaker A:

And then.

Speaker B:

And then.

Speaker B:

So we have that emotional.

Speaker B:

We have the.

Speaker B:

I'm sorry, go ahead.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So the.

Speaker B:

Oh.

Speaker A:

The point I was trying to get to was that, yes, the lack of resolution, the fact there's no consequences in this town.

Speaker A:

And also, like, I think we can.

Speaker A:

We'll probably need to find a term for this that that happened.

Speaker A:

It's just like a superhero movie, right?

Speaker A:

Somebody comes in, you decimate a town, and those superheroes leave.

Speaker A:

And then what's left in behind is like, oh, so you killed your neighbors?

Speaker A:

Well, that's gonna be church awkward.

Speaker A:

Like how?

Speaker A:

Like, like, how does this town come back?

Speaker A:

Like, they're just like this town.

Speaker A:

Like, honestly, they just leave.

Speaker B:

And we don't know if they just had a shitty, like, dramatic, unrealistic, like, they all hugged scene in the yard.

Speaker B:

I would have found that more satisfying and Than just the lack of attention to it.

Speaker B:

And I'm just.

Speaker B:

That's just how I felt.

Speaker B:

I just felt like it was like, okay, now they're just.

Speaker B:

Now we're just, like, ignoring what happened in this town.

Speaker B:

And everybody's sitting at a park or they're at a picnic bench.

Speaker B:

What the.

Speaker B:

So now we have another, like, dumb resolution.

Speaker B:

Anyways, that was my.

Speaker B:

It was just.

Speaker B:

I felt.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

I mean, no, we have, like, pleased with that.

Speaker A:

The.

Speaker A:

The relationships.

Speaker A:

Like, I feel like, yeah, something was cut or something.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

So there's no resolution between Joe, Rufus and Ellen in them.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

These, like, just get thrown in there and then they're gone.

Speaker B:

Unless it happens for everybody.

Speaker A:

But, like, I mean, it doesn't.

Speaker A:

They don't.

Speaker A:

Does not get resolved in the next episode.

Speaker A:

And just.

Speaker A:

But yeah, it's kind of shitty what they did to this town for the sake of a story.

Speaker A:

River Pass.

Speaker A:

River, whatever.

Speaker A:

Like, they're.

Speaker A:

They.

Speaker A:

They're just gonna sit there and drink their terrible cores in the river.

Speaker B:

I mean, I'm sure it's a lovely place to drink Coors in the river.

Speaker B:

And then.

Speaker B:

And then we get to.

Speaker B:

So we got that like.

Speaker B:

Like, no emotional resolution to a deeply, you know.

Speaker B:

You know, ethical slash traumatic situation.

Speaker B:

And now we've got the brothers having their bitch out fight where Sam's trying to like, not fight, but you know what I mean?

Speaker B:

Like, where Sam's like, I need to go have some personal time.

Speaker B:

And Sam and Dean's like, okay, bye.

Speaker B:

Like, what the.

Speaker B:

Like, it's just.

Speaker A:

But at this point too, like, he's been such a little.

Speaker A:

For the past two episodes.

Speaker A:

I'm like, yeah, dnd maybe.

Speaker B:

Wait, hold on.

Speaker B:

Which one?

Speaker B:

Just kidding.

Speaker B:

I said which one?

Speaker B:

I'm teasing.

Speaker B:

Dean's being a little bitch.

Speaker A:

Well, I mean, it's very easy.

Speaker A:

You know, they go back and forth between which one's being the.

Speaker A:

And Sam's actually being kind of the grown up here.

Speaker A:

He's acknowledging his feelings, acknowledging that, hey, there's some deeper shit I need to dive into.

Speaker A:

I need to understand why I wanted to lick blood off of Ruby's forearm.

Speaker B:

Well, and now he's probably dealing with the fact that it wasn't even about demon blood.

Speaker B:

He just wanted to drink blood because he killed a human that he thought was a demon.

Speaker B:

And he was about to drink that teenager's blood in the middle of the freaking quick E Mart.

Speaker A:

Yeah, that's like, you know, you're gonna like.

Speaker A:

I wanted to get some coke and I'll smoke some crack instead.

Speaker A:

But also, it's.

Speaker A:

I. I think there's also just what.

Speaker A:

It's.

Speaker A:

It's accurate, but I think there also is the.

Speaker A:

The go.

Speaker A:

Going back to that ego thing, right?

Speaker A:

That is just like, oh, I need to do some deep dive.

Speaker A:

Like, why did I want to drink so much?

Speaker A:

As I'm like, why.

Speaker A:

Why did I want to drink so much?

Speaker A:

Why do I want to smoke so much weed?

Speaker A:

Why do I do that ketamine?

Speaker A:

Mean, why did I want to, you know, do whatever thing you want to do?

Speaker A:

I'm not saying I. I wanted to do the ketamine.

Speaker A:

I didn't do the ketamine.

Speaker A:

I never wanted to do the ketamine.

Speaker B:

I didn't say anything about the ketamine.

Speaker B:

I just.

Speaker B:

In general processing, RuPaul's Drag Race had.

Speaker A:

Wait, Drag Race?

Speaker A:

Oh, my God.

Speaker A:

Like, we have gone to Looney Tunes world.

Speaker A:

So in the All Stars right now, there is a queen who is from.

Speaker A:

From UK and she had a ketamine problem, which apparently is a problem.

Speaker A:

Now I'm like, how the do you get addicted to ketamine?

Speaker A:

Like, that's a. Oh.

Speaker A:

Anyways, I'm not judging anybody's drug use.

Speaker A:

Whatever.

Speaker A:

Okay, we need to end this now.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Anything else you need to say about this episode?

Speaker B:

I do not have anything else to say about this episode.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

All right, well, that's what I got.

Speaker A:

We're gonna.

Speaker A:

We're gonna stop.

Speaker A:

That's just it.

Speaker B:

All right.

Speaker A:

Cheers.

Speaker A:

Jerk.
